If you find you take the doors off often, I really recommend getting some of these alignment/guide pins.
They make the process much quicker, easier and reduce the chances of buggering the paint and the bushings.

Im just getting back to ordering a set of these. The ones you have... are they all the same length? How are they to put back in without having the top one longer than the bottom? I can't find any of the cheap amazon ones with the staggered length like the pricier ones from Quadratec.

They are all the same length, but the post they screw onto are different lengths.
The upper ones have a longer post, this leaves a gap on the upper ones.
It does not effect how they work, and you cant see the gap when the doors are on.

This is a slightly different pin/cover (looks a little shorter) but this is the idea of the gap.

Ah I get it. The ones that are different lengths are useful for the older Jeeps that didn't have different length posts. Thanks

Still have the baseball cap on, but got the doors all off, sunrider back, and mirrors mounted. It’s wicked!
Also took the windshield down to give it a try. This thing comes apart quickly!

Also did the alignment pins to make it a quick swap. Although I got generic ones for the JK, so they do the job of alignment, but whereas they poke on the JK doors fully threaded, they don’t on the JL hinges. And while Less is more for some, I’ll be damned if that little bling of stainless doesn’t just make the doors pop. So i think the specific (and spendier) JL ones will do that.

On the mirrors, did have to do some tweeks as they didn’t hold on the freeway. So used most of the fasteners, but replaced the rubber washers with a bit of rubber hose cut to be a thick washer. Basically allowed me to torque down, and still allows some flexibility and holds tight.

And the other week got the door hangers done up. Gotta make it easy and quick to make sure I keep em off as often as possible.

Took the top off the other day. But it's still too cold in the morning to leave it off. I wish I had a soft top in addition to my hard top so I could switch it up at the spur of the moment. And without help.

Thank you. I'm in Macomb (just north of Warren and Sterling Heights)

First time since buying it last August. Great feeling and hat doesn't blow off, unlike when the freedom panels are removed.
