Dry weight is only 4,000 pound. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to rent the same exact year/model before committing to purchase. Took it from Phoenix to Prescott, from there up to Flagstaff and back home via Payson. Those familiar with the area know that this route has numerous steep hills reaching over 6,000 in elevation. The Gladiator did an awesome job!!! Hardly noticed the trailer was back there at all. Granted, I did max out at 45 MPH in some very steep spots BUT never crossed 5,000 RPM and none of the gauges went above the norm. You’re already near max payload with your extra weight. You’re gonna be miserable towing that much weight. Get a half ton or a much much smaller RV
Big test will be at the end of March when I tow it with me from Phoenix to Jeep Jamboree in Hot Springs, AR and back. If it struggles then hey that's what super chargers are forI am interested in how you feel about it after a year. Looks like a great trailer. It is as big or maybe a bit bigger than I would consider towing on a regular basis. I'd love to hear how it goes for you.
2509S is exactly the RV I initially wanted as per my OP. I did settle on Surveyer which is basically a downsized version of 2509S. So far, we have put over 2,000 miles on it and drove it from AZ to Texas, NM and SoCal. No issues with towing it since the 5.33 gears more than make up for the larger tires and the heavy duty lift kit actually keeps it from sagging the truck. The only thing that sucks so far are the breaks. I'm thinking of replacing them with PowerStop Truck&Tow Z36Here's my stock 2020 JTR hooked up to our 2509s. Equalizer WDH. Redarc brake controller. Pulls fine. Your lift/tires will hurt your towing capacity IMO. Tows better in stock form.

Also, Echo Break Controller is horrible with JT and locks up the break on any setting above minimum. Surprisingly it works really well when towing with my wife's Audi Q7.
I'm thinking of going with Redark as well. Where did you end up mounting Redark break controller? I don't want to pull my 12 volt cigarette lighter port.
