Im 6' and find my Gladiator with auto very comfortable. Much better then my JKUR. I just drove my Gladiator from Sacramento to West Yellowstone Montana straight through 700 plus miles with just quick stops for food etc and had no comfort problems. It is actually a great ride in my opinion...

I have a Gladiator Rubicon with manual trans and manual seats. I'm 6'2". I find it difficult to find a good position that doesn't hurt my back on long trips. I think it's particular to the stick since that requires a certain driving position which auto trans wouldn't. Wondering if anyone else has this difficulty and would appreciate any suggestions for a back rest if you have bought one. Given my height there isn't must room for legs once you add something on back of seat.
Thanks in advance.
I am 6' 3" and am very comfortable in my automatic Mojave. The 2016 Chevy truck I sold would make my back hurt within an hour. Could never get the power seat in a comfortable position.

I'm 6'1" and find the seat quite comfortable even over a long trip. We have the M/T.

But... the idea of tilting the seat back either via the washers or the risers in the front only is intriguing. Love this forum for all its good ideas.

Im just the opposite...

I came from a GMC 2500 and an Avalanche before that...both with highly customizable seats. And they both hurt my back after shorts trips. No matter how I tried to adjust.

But the Gladiator for some reason has been great. Longest ride was two hours and it was fine the whole way.

Im 6'3". 250#

Well now if you have a perfect body like mine at 5 / 11 the factory seat in it's original configuration will work just fine. LOL

Just installed the kit from Desert Does It. Raises front of drivers seat up about 1 1/2 inches and back. Just had both hips replaced and no support under front of my legs was killing me. I’m 6’2” and feel like a bunch more legroom and the slightly reclined position is much more comfortable. Kit is pricey but fit perfect and took 10 minutes to install. One kit does one seat.

Pics of the back mounts? I really don't want to sit any higher (already can't see stop lights on 2 lane roads without leaning forward) but the extra support may be nice

Had a 2012 jk and ko problem with the seats at all. These seem higher to begin with. I'd like to lower them actually. But im going to try these spacers (in front only) and see. They are expensive but I hate the seat as is so here goes. Fingers crossed.

They do not use back mounts. Just loosen back bolts-put in front mounts and tighten then tighten rears. Made a big difference for me but I'm a big guy 6"2 275 with 2 new hips.

If i add a few washers to my front seat to have it tilt a bit can it still slide forward and back?

I'm about 6'3 260, no hip mods but a very long torso. Getting closer to the ceiling is no good but going back a little with more thigh support sounds lovely

Thank you for providing info on these. Lot better and more stable than a nut serving as a spacer. I placed an order for a set.
