Very interesting concept, but without the ability to open the windows or any built into the sides I think it falls *just* short of the mark.I posted this in another thread but I think I should have posted here.
Has anyone seen or is familiar with this gladiator camper?
I like it.
Great idea. The only suggestion I would make would be to weld a "U" shape structure to reinforce both the front of the bed and the back of the cab. In the passthrough picutures below, they left the upper lip of the bed for structural support. Without this the sides of the cab and bed would be weakened considerably.I'm surprised no one that I can find online has cut the rear cab bulkhead and cap plus the front of the truck bed and a bed cap to mirror up and use an accordion bellows to make it weather tight. That's my plan (using an RLD bed cap) for a self contained/efficient deep remote expedition rig.
Although of course my plan would not be tenable for someone that would need rear seats (which I don't).
I like the simplicity of this!Usual method is to sew little pockets for tiny magnets, or sleeves for strips of magnet tape, into bug mesh and slap them onto the steel door surrounds. Not going to work on the aluminum doors though
Something like this then? https://lunolife.com/products/car-window-screens
Could be a DIY if you find this kind of stretch mesh material
