Perhaps it is because when someone, especially someone new asks a question, thirty seconds later a response comes up to quit bothering the members and use the search function.
i have done that response. not to offend the new person's request but to show 1. it is a very common problem. 2. there are numerous ways to explain a problem which might make it seem different from yours. 3. referencing past posts will give the newbie an immediate answer instead of waiting. if the newbie is a new driver or new to gladiators specifically, they will discover access to a large like minded group.

Is it just me, or does this forum not seem to have as much activity as it used to? I remember it used to seem fairly consistent with new posts to read on.
Have most people gone to social media for their gladiator talk? What groups are the ones to hop on?
I hate to see forums just turning slowly into ghost towns. I have spent tons of years on forums, and I actually prefer them to the whole social media stuff.
93civej1 Roger All your comments... We're long-time Jeep owners, only recent to Gladiators, so have been on Jeep/offroad/4WD forums for decades this one only recently...

Technologies change/advance, and Social Media trends continually evolve. Having an extensive IT background thus no Luddites, we're not a fan of "smart phones" because we live high up in the mountains, with one signal bar typically --- so we prefer forums accessed by old-school broadband-connected laptops with a keyboard/large monitors for easier access to references/materials to share/edit re. electrical schematics, photos etc.

BUT technology trends are compelling and relentless.

Internet Forums are older tech, and not so much smart phone friendly. Years ago "Tapatalk" was deployed to help make forums more "mobile friendly" but Tapatalk was acquired by new owners in 2023 and it started to fall into disuse, and is declining/being dropped by most forums.

I'd encourage you to use and enjoy forums to the extent possible - they are a great source for tech/maintenance/repair info as well as vehicle news/trends, BUT mobile device and social media trends are relentless, and forums will (sadly) continue to slowly fade...

Agree to all that plus it gives us a community of likeminded individuals (for the most part 😆) where we can share ideas and adventures and sometimes razz somebody who’s not going to get overly offended.

My 2023 Mojave is my first Jeep and I’ve learned a lot here and have been able to share a little of what I’ve learned with others.

I've a bit to learn about the 2025 differences (mostly electronic, air bags and so on) but a lot to learn about a few of the Mojave differences. Some I've known about for quite a while, some I will be learning about (hydraulic bump stops for example), and a few other points.

What I've noticed on other (non-Jeep) forums is that eventually pretty much everything gets answered thoroughly and repeatedly for a given generation of the vehicle. There is less need to ask a question because you can find multiple answers by searching, and without someone saying "there are plenty of threads on that, do a search". And there is little need to post new answers again, just point to the usually really long thread(s) that have the entire discussion and all the answers. When the next generation of the vehicle comes out, new life comes to the forum.

Yes, but as far as I know, looking at owners manuals and charts from multiple years - all Mojave did.

And yet the order guide for 2022 and the owners manual shows only one - all others show with or without tow package. Mojave is the only one in the owners manual that shows the full capacity (manual transmission may be different, of course!)
That first link - did he buy it new or used? The post is 2023 but he has a 2022.

It's standard for 24 and 25 - all Mojaves. Not an option.

This is from 2022 owner manual - Not sure they'd show all Mojave automatics towing 6,000 without it.

Perhaps it is because when someone, especially someone new asks a question, thirty seconds later a response comes up to quit bothering the members and use the search function.
Forum searches are "ok', but you must know the words to use in many cases. Maybe you don't know what the issue is commonly called.
A couple of members here are quite good at saying "there are other posts about it" and actually doing the work and posting links for the person seeking help.
I find that sometimes you can have better luck searching a forum using google with key words plus the domain name. Google uses more intelligence "this is a close match, maybe it's this" while a forum search looks in the database for those exact words and you get 2 pages of worthless results before you hit page 3 of the results that might help.

I'm not always good at it, but if I know the info is there already all posted neat and tidy, I'll sometimes do the search and post the results.
I should get better at that - it's more helpful than the "quit bugging us, don't you know how to search" responses.

I usually hop on from a weekly digest email i receive on Mondays.

But lately when i click on links from that email, the stories appear in a popup that doesn't let me log in. So i have to pull up the site again in my browser to log in and reply.

[Nevermind this post of mine - i just realized at some point i downloaded the JGF Forum app to my Mac and it is the default for opening email links - i can simply right click the link to open in a browser, or i could just change the default or delete the app which i don't use.]

We're 5 pages and counting on a discussion about whether there's traffic on this forum. :like:
