Gladiator Sales Slump

Wait for the new model to come out with the new trans. Jeep regret is a things though - every time you pass one, you will miss not being in one! But, again the Ridgeline is fantastic. I love the bed storage, it's like a giant cooler.

I really don’t expect all the changes that people think are going to happen. Dealer mark ups on the new ones will be ridiculous. Plus, being without a car that long won’t work for me.

My Gladiator Mojave just got totaled and now I am in the market for a new ‘truck’. I am seriously considering a Ridgeline Black Edition.
I didn’t do much offroading in my Jeep anyways because of time, low interest from significant other, etc.

The infotainment system sucks in the Ridgeline. I also don’t get that ‘Oooooooh’ feeling when I look at one like I did when I go to the garage to get in my Mojave. But, the flat floor under the seats of the Ridgeline is awesome because I am literally the grocery getter in the family. At my age (58), it seems more about practical use and safety features than anything else. And the Ridgeline has a 5 star safety rating that appeals to this old man.

Ridgeline is no Jeep but it is a nice vehicle. Had a 2021 Ridgeline as the family third vehicle we used for road trips and ancillary other needs. When we went down to two vehicles, became my wife's primary for about a year before she wanted a small SUV. Hated trading that vehicle in. If I find myself saying "f*ck it" to keeping my Gladiator and getting out of Jeeps all together, Honda Ridgeline is at the top of my list.

I also liked the flat floor of the Ridgeline in the back. Have a Beagle with a degenerative back condition and it made getting him in/out quite easy with no fuss.

I had a 2019 Ridgeline before the Mojave. It was a great truck and could tow more than my Mojave. I considered buying another one for a DD but could not justify selling my Altima since it gets 30mpg. If I had to replace the Mojave tomorrow, it would be with a Ridgeline or RivIan.

The F150 also has a 5 star crash rating and a flat floor. And boring looks too. ?

I see the problem of lower Jeep sales as a number of factors here.....interest rates suck, dealer markups (I hate those dealers - I would never, ever, ever buy from one of those dealers) and in general costs are higher. Jeeps in general fill the need for a certain type of buyer (for the most part fuel mileage, max tow, etc... aren't really the majority of concerns for most Jeep owners) If you want max fuel economy or max tow you'd be better suited to go and buy something else.

The Jeeps have a "mystique" about them like Harley Davidson does. What they both do, they do great. Jeeps are a very unique vehicle and up until the new Bronco came out, Jeeps were really the only "convertible truck" option available. I do agree and said it a few times, but Jeep needs to offer better options for Jeep buyers, like starting with better/more engine options. The competition is literally blowing past Jeep with better optioned vehicles for less money.

Jeep seems to be very "stubborn" in adapting to new ideas, while they are an iconic brand, they have stuck to the same principle of a "Jeep" for 70 years and contiguously improved the brand, they need to start offering what the public is asking for! Man, if they offered a 392 for my Mojave, I would have jumped all over that and ordered that engine option!!!!!

Cant say that I could argue your point. IF Jeep built limited edition 392 Gladiators they would 100% guaranteed sell out.....for some reason Jeeps too stupid to realize it.

Even if Jeep doesn't care to "compete" with a Raptor, they would still have people fighting over Gladiators with 392! I would be in line for one for sure
