Hey everyone! I’ve searched the forum high and low looking for any feedback regarding our Gladiators and Moab. I’m still awaiting the delivery of my JTR (ordered 4/29 and still in D status) but I’m planning on taking it to Moab over Labor Day weekend, if I get it in time. I’ve been to Moab quite a while ago in a JK and had a blast. My question to all of you is this; what trails do you think a stock JT Rubicon could do or couldn’t do? What about a JTR with the mopar 2” lift and 35’s (common mods for a lot of us, and what I plan on doing)? My main concern is breakover angle and departure angle. I don’t mind a little dragging. I’m sure hells revenge shouldn’t be an issue. Does anyone have any experience with their Gladiator at Moab or enough Moab experience to have an educated guess? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Good questions. We have one in transit, and a Moab trip in May.

THe MAJOR drawback to the JT is its REAR azz dragging break over angle. That will be your challange. If it were my JTR I would get a list of trails by difficulty and start out with the 3's. And see how it performs and go up from there...BE sure to do a write up for the forum!

I will tell you now the JT is not going to play in many 4+ levels of trails, primarily due to dragging it butt. YES, a lift will help, however, you are just going to drag a bit later rather than sooner.

Of coruse there the EVO 15 inch lift for the JL, no doubt that can be adapted to the JT: https://www.drivingline.com/article...ler-with-over-15-inches-of-suspension-travel/

There is one other thing to consider and that it is a truck and does come with certain limitation and as Dirty Harry said: "Every man and every Jeep has got to know their limitations"

I just came back from Moab. With the lift & tires, I never scraped anything, to include the rear bumper or receiver hitch. Now, if I had 35's or stock 33's, its very likely I would have dragged the tail end on Hells Revenge..

What are you running lift and tire wise?
