I think they do a bunch of similar builds at one go. Ordered my JTRD on 7/12 with GG, Aux switches, Cold wx, and forward cam. Today Jeep chat told me the same thing. As of 8/20 all parts collected, waiting in line. Daniel in Grupton told me my estimate build completion was 8/31.

Nice! I did the Mojave, LED, hard top, Auto, Tow, Gorilla Glass, 8.4, sting gray, aux switch and auto 4X4. I asked again and they said the same thing, “in the scheduling phase.”
ordered mine on 6/16 with adaptive cruise, advanced safety and gorilla glass and mine is scheduled for delivery friday 8/27.
Curious what trim you had. My sport s has the adaptive cruise and max tow but nothing else out of the ordinary. Ordered 6/21 and just watching the others leapfrog me. I see a lot of adaptive cruise and 4.10s getting built so I think the theory of "they're prioritizing the fancy trims" is probably correct.
They have to be prioritizing the higher profit builds. I ordered two days after you and my max tow is in the same limbo. At first I made a drinking game where I’d take a shot every time someone ordered a month after me and already got their Rubicon or Mojave, but then after blacking out every night from all the posts I saw I had to stop. I’m just hoping they build mine at all at this point, I’m already planning on it being a late Christmas gift by the time it comes.

Wow!!!I ordered a month before you and still waiting for parts to be gathered. Not sure how yours went that fast. What did you order? I ordered a Gladiator Sport S. Mine is almost 2 months and still not a build date yet. I wonder how they prioritize.
I'm sitting on 2 months on my order of a Jeep Sport S and not what the hold up is. There are alot of feeds on this forum who ordered theirs in July and Aug and are getting build dates and I'm not. Good luck on yours.

I ordered a Rubicon. Someone earlier said the Rubicon and Mojave were getting priority build over the rest. I didn’t think there was any truth to that, but maybe they were right?
