I got an email from Jeep.
The goofy thing is that it welcomed my wife (she wanted the fun of having it ordered in her name) to the Jeep family and she's bought Jeeps since, well, it's been decades........... whatever.
Anyway, the email was a big thank you thing, glad you are part of the Jeep family now, telling about Jeep wave and their programs and then that button to click, then that pops up a web page to type in your phone number, etc.
The sales guy said they just started doing that as most dealers weren't keeping their customer apprised on the progress of their order so Jeep decided to do it for them. The first time around the dealer called or emailed me every time he got a status update, apparently many don't. So Jeep started this program.
I put in my number - nothing. I never got the text to confirm that I wanted to receive messages on the status.

Please post the web address for that text box, I’d like to try it too!

Thanks for the info. I haven’t bothered the dealer, it’s only been a couple of weeks since I ordered it so I know I have a while yet but im not thinking they’re gonna be one of the dealers that keep me informed on the status and I havent received any email welcoming me yet

The problem is that the link is embedded in the email they send. The URL is encoded with my specific order number. If you go to that exact same URL (which is very long) then you will get the info on my truck order.
The only way to get there is from a button in the email which tells the system who you are and what your order number is so it can track that order.

Does anyone here know about this system (pic below) where you enter your phone number, get a text and respond ALLOW and get text update every time there's a change in the status of your build order?
I put in the phone number and never got a test.
So today, I tried it again and it said my number had already been put in.
Still no text telling me to respond with ALLOW to let it send me updates.

I did this, never got the text to respond to with ALLOW -

I never received an email like that. Thankfully salesman is keeping me updated weekly.

My dealer says that Jeep implemented a new system on 5-2-2022. That's the same day he ordered mine. What is supposed to happen is that I get email updates on the status.
What actually happened is that I got one email thanking me for my order and I was supposed to click that button, put in my cell number and I'd immediately get a text.
I was then supposed to respond to that text to opt in and allow the updates to come my way.
What really happened was nothing.
The new system put in place on the same day I ordered isn't working and I was told that's how I'm supposed to get updates now.
So I guess I'll get updated when it finally arrives and they call to come pick it up.
Can't even use this tracking system with no VIN - but maybe no VIN has been assigned - who knows?
I wonder if they even know the new system is BROKEN?
Probably not.

Hey just a heads up guys... When you FINALLY do get to take your new babies home, make sure you hit up the DMV every few days until you can confirm that your paperwork has arrived. DO NOT listen to the dealerships instructions on this. 1.Get your Vehicle 2. pester the DMV until you get your registration FINISHED. Instructions from the DMV employees themselves.

I purchased out-of-state and drove back to California. The Dealership told me to wait about 30 days. So, when I went to the DMV, I got hit with penalty fees that were about the same as my registration fee. Registration fee - $700 something + penalty fees- $700 something = $1400+. The lady told me that this happens fairly often, and not to trust any dealerships with my paperwork. She said I should have came a week after I bought it. I cant even tell you how pissed I was. You can Appeal the charges though, but its not a guarantee.

Anyway, just wanted to share this experience in hopes that it helps someone out there!

I picked up my Gladiator yesterday!

Ordered March 16th
D status March 23rd
Build sheet May 4th
Window Sticker May 6th
Delivered to dealership May 10th

FYI, as far as delivery I contacted Jeep chat to ask what the estimated shipping window would be on May 8th expecting a lengthy delay. To my surprise they said 9-12 May.

I expected it to drag out but it arrived exactly within the four day window they provided. I live in Northeastern Illinois outside Chicago FWIW.

Good luck to all you still waiting, its worth the wait

Mine rolled off the line 4/19
In the blackhole of JB status ever since.
As of today, the dealer and Jeep Chat have no idea where my JTR is in transit since the shipper's website still has no information. Not sure when I should cut my losses and eat my $500 down payment. Ordered 2/25:

2/25/2022 - Ordered (Larry Miller Jeep, Albuquerque, NM)
2/28 - VIN
3/5- Parts scheduling
3/7 - D1 - scheduled for production - estimated ship date 4/17
4/4 - E- entered framing
4/5 - F- paint
4/5 - G - Trim
4/6 - I - Completed build process, pending quality inspection. No dealer ETA has been provided.
4/7 - Build sheet published
4/14 - J = vehicle passed final inspection but not released to carrier (waiting to be loaded on train). No dealer ETA has been provided.
4/24 - in transit and window sticker published
5/12 - dealer and Jeep Chat say they have no idea where my JTR is, and there is no information obtainable from the shipper's website. Dealer said there is no information since 4/24.
