Ordered a 2023 Mojave in July. At the time of order the dealership gave a $44,500 trade in value on my current 2021 Mojave with 20k miles . It finally came in last week and they said the used Gladiator market was flooded and while they didn't want to take it on trade they did offer 36k . I thought that was ridiculous and took it to CarMax and was offered 34k ! We are talking about a showroom condition used vehicle . I was going to be financing and had to walk because even though I had equity I wasn't going to take that kinda hit. Just for curiosity sake I asked how much they would offer trade in wise on the 68k Mojave that just came in with say 2k miles. They said around 36k ? holy hell. I get its a depreciating asset but damn. They went from a vehicle with the lowest depreciation to one of the most quickly! It's the time to buy, not so much the time to trade if you currently own a JT. With 201 days of supply currently, they are glutted on the dealer lots with them.
Playing with the numbers of my 2022 Rubicon, it has dived 38% off what I paid a year ago. Just from the beginning of September to now, trade in value has drop $6K.
The salad days are over trading in and up without taking a bath.
Yeah, it is brutal. Yours almost mirrors what I had gone through with my 2022 Rubicon. Had it at the dealership last May for a Jeep wave service and was window shopping a new Gladiator they had on the floor. They offered me $47K for trade in then. Fast forward a few months last September, was kicking some tires at another dealership and was offered $40K. Got a Carmax offer of $34K yesterday and the first dealership updated my last May offer to now give $36K for trade in. That is enough for me to stay pat with what I have. Scratching that new vehicle itch is going to have to wait.Ordered a 2023 Mojave in July. At the time of order the dealership gave a $44,500 trade in value on my current 2021 Mojave with 20k miles . Lots of dealers in the DFw area have Gladiators marked down 20% or more. Bought a 23 Sport S for 25% of MSRP. Some of those dealers want to add warranty packages for $3-4k though as part of the deal.Anyone else seeing these adds of 15% off your gladiator ? Are gladiators losing their value or it just a reliability issue ?
Guess you better enjoy it, it's not worth much sitting at the mallOrdered a 2023 Mojave in July.
