Might as well start one of these so I can keep everything in one place. Not going to be a whole lot going on with it right now but little things.

This is my second 22 diesel Rubicon. First one I ordered then sold a year later and had regretted since. I started looking for another Silver Zynith JTRD but then changed to looking for Hobi which proved to be a little more difficult to find since it was a limited run. Fortunately I came across one and got it bought.

I've just been enjoying being back in one. I'd much rather drive this than my 18 GMC Duramax. Anyway I've been doing just a few small things to Gladiator. First few things have been a heavy Dee Zee bed mat along with a trail rail system. I liked the trail rail in my prior Jeep so decided this had to have it. Makes it nice for securing items when needed. Sunday I put the Tazer in. The stop/start had to go. Not a fan of it.

Today I tackled removing the discriminator out of the fuel fill neck. I tried the channel lock method with no luck. I ended up breaking the fuel cap seat area so I gave up and just pulled the whole assembly from out of the wheel well. I actually still had the discriminator out of my first diesel when i had it. I got all that put back together except I need to buy some new plastic push pins to secure the fender liner to the fender.

Hopefully the broke area on the fuel fill doesn't give me any issues with check engine lights. Once I get the push pins back in the fender then im going to start cleaning underneath the truck. The prior owner must have had it in the sand a bunch. Sand is caked everywhere underneath it.

I'm glad I found this particular truck as it is optioned almost like I had ordered my other 22. Been looking at wheels the last few days. Not sure what I'll end up with or when but it doesn't hurt to start looking. I kind of like these fuel wheels. Been looking at these steps as well.

I'll always thumbs up a fellow Gobi enjoyer.

Diesel was near the top of my list of "must haves" this go 'round, but my love for rowing gears won out in the end. Maybe one day I will find the motivation to stuff a little Cummins in there. A guy's gotta have dreams, right?

Welcome back to the diesel fold. Love that color. I don't mean to be ignorant but what is the purpose of the fuel filler hak?

Just to be able to use any size nozzle. I didn't care for the factory fill neck.

Have you ever had issues with the larger high flow pumps and auto-shutoff? Always been curious if the volume is too high to either not trip or spill before it trips.

Everytime I use a high flow nozzle. I get tons of foam.

Yeah I suppose, one would want to set it to a slower flow to lessen foam anyways so I imagine it would stop fine.

Really the only reason I am considering removing the discriminator is I hate using the adapters because you have to sit there and hold them. While on trips we seem to always find the truck stops that only have the commercial nozzles.

I've gone into some gas stations that have auto diesel. Only to find out that they don't have the auto diesel nozzle on the handle. If you have the discriminator in. Nothing fits.

Being from the same region as you, I've run into those stations more than once around the Dakotas and northern Michigan. I ran into one on my way home from delivery in TN. Ripped that discriminator out as soon as I got home with my new Jeep.

Gobi is my absolutely FAVORITE color Jeep has come out with. One day way way down the line of time I intend on escorting my current rig in Gobi tintable bedliner. Great looking Gladiator. Congrats!

Did a few little things today. I bought a set of cheap side steps and put them on. Fit and finish is okay but wished they tucked in towards the body a little more. They will serve the purpose though. Then I put the Rugged Ridge door sill guards on and also pulled the bumper end caps off. Doing things here and there as I can.
