I ordered my gobi sport s yesterday (4/12) and got my VON and VIN today. Now the wait begins!

I've heard some talk of Jeep chat, what is that and how does a fella get access to it for updates?

I wouldn’t even bother. All they will tell you is that you’re in scheduling. Better to just enjoy the wait ordering things for it and watching UPS and FedEx actually arrive a couple of times a week.
Gonna be a busy first few days once the Gobi actually arrives.

Almost verbatim, except you left out full address after email address.?
And that you pretty much enter most of the exact info when you are signing in to Chat.
Just order a bunch of ChiCom goo gahs and doo dads for your ride and they will arrive two days after ordering (disclaimer: except from QuadraTec. Major malfunctions going on over there).
You will have the joy of daydreaming attaching all of your hardware once said Gobi Gladiator arrives.

Edit to add: the occasional glass of bourbon helps out in these dire times!

You have to go on the jeep.com website and in the contact us portion you can open a live chat during business hours. It is true that you will probably be told its in scheduling. Seems to be Gobis are all in that phase no matter when the order was placed. Not sure on this though.

What sort of ish are you going to buy for the Gojave? Inquiring minds want to know. I have a bright white Mojave and ordered a Sport S in Gobi so i dont think ill be adding much to the Sport S sadly maybe the take offs from my Mojave is all.

Shhh. I can’t tell you for fear of my wife stumbling upon this thread.
Mine’s Gobi so the Mojave Orange really lends itself to being expanded upon. And I love southwest desert sunsets of which Orange is a big part of.

I’ve had a good dozen and a half boxes show up already, some large some small.
Might have a pallet showing up with a little something to assist my granddaughter climbing up and in, and oh, also protecting the sides and some of the bottom of said vehicle.
Some custom grab handles from @darkdesign.
I’ll post up some pics once she arrives.

Nice ! I do love the sunsets out here in the southwest. Im inland from the coast but the ocean bounces the light up and makes for some nice ones. I wanted the Mojave to be Gobi so bad but i wasnt sure if it was ever going to come back so i went with my next choice white... Oh well we are in the gobi waiting room together now lol.

what is Tread lightly and is it worth it? my order ended up being $50K with options and my dealership gave me $1500 off of that to keep my order with him is that more than what tread lightly gives?

TL is $100 and gets you 1% below dealer invoice, along with a ton of other discounts. Most of the below invoice dealers mentioned on this forum go well below that with TL membership. Some as low as 8% below invoice.

Your $1500 was off of MSRP or dealer invoice? You didn’t give us much info to work with. For example: my Mojave was $61K MSRP. With TL through one of our forum dealers I ended up at $53K.
Just a little more than $1500 off, unless my math is all wonky.
Did you get a bare bones Sport?
TL gets you some pretty good BFG discounts, some $100 and $50 off coupons. Check out their site.

I am going super basic so I have more money for upgrades and the probably unrealistic hope to have a fast build. I know Gobi builds haven't started yet, but I hope it will be soon. If mine was the tipping point for Jeep to start, you're welcome (and sorry for taking so long).

Go to This Tread to build and see actual cost. MSRP is suggested retail price. FWP (factory wholesale price) is the price that the dealer, and TL give you the % off of.
With the right dealer you can save a couple grand up to $10-12K off of your build price.
