Look like a great way to rip the rock rails off the body. ?
Explain how that would happen. You would just remove them if going off road. That's the point, they are easily removed and a step for when you need a step. Just the price, needs a better price point

The STIRRUP is mounted to your OEM rocker rail with a bi-sectional clamping bracket. No drilling will be required to mount the brackets to your OEM rails. The STIRRUP is as solid than the rail it's mounted to. With its coating and the use of aluminum and stainless steel, the STIRRUP will require little maintenance and it will last the life of your Jeep.

If it is as solid as the rock rail, then it will definitely damage stuff when someone inevitably leaves them on while off roading.

These comments seem crazy to me because I've really beat a few pairs of the factory ones up on 2 jeeps and they are pretty solid for what they are and they can be used as a jacking point. Not saying they are or aren't better than the Rock Hard sets but they definitely aren't garbage. A ton people wheel with them and they do protect.

I actually had a set of the hard rock sliders on my JKU for the step for reference so I have owned a set of them for comparison.
Rubicon rock rails do ok. But, you slide off a rock and the weight of the Jeep lands on them they will bend into the body.

the best rock rails/sliders are mounted to the frame with some angle on them to prevent too much leverage happening.
VKS fab made some of the best sliders/steps for the JKU. Unfortunately he shut down the business.

lod makes a similar dimpled step slider for the JL but not the JT. They have they’re built in step style for the JT. While it does mount to the frame and is a beefy piece, I do not like how far it sticks out. But if it’s those steps or this for a grand. I’ll take this every single day.

I never said they were the best but they aren't garbage either. I'm sure there are better options out there, most of which give up some sort of ground clearance.

I don’t think Rubicon sliders are garbage either. But they have limitations. Many around the central Texas area have experienced those limitations when wheeling Katemcy and Wolf Caves. Those granite boulders don’t squish.

Sure looks like a lot of leverage there doesn't it?
That's the quandary. Body mount typically has a shorter lever arm. Frame mount mounts to the frame.

If these are what you're after ... they appear to be of good quality and are US made, not the imported junk that most other retailers are peddling. If you like them ... buy them.
I agree but can't justify getting hammered like that on price even for something american made. I mean that price is totally jacked up when compared to other steps on the market. The JK had similar quick disco steps and they were only $350 a set .

I agree with this. If you like them, buy them. If not, or if you feel the cost isn't worth it, then don't.

"Not for me" is a perfectly fine answer. If other, cheaper rails are more what you're interested in, then go with those. No judgements there. But why let something you don't want, that you won't buy, occupy your time and effort like this?

Because I got time to kill and nothing to do and figured I'd get others thoughts on it. Out of work until the middle of May because of surgery .

This. Also, those few inches help, along with not having to step as far over. For someone with a disability, those little things help immensely.
this right here. I already struggle to get into the stock rubicon. But the MORE option looks much more useful as it extends lower and also hides away.
