Congrats on the TRX, that's one hell of a truck.

I was looking at one parked in a dealer the other day, impressive for sure. Must be a blast to drive.

Very cool, did you have to pay dealer markup?

there was a small dealer markup. Sticker was $79k. I paid mid $80’s but it did have windows tinted, ceramic coating, and we got a 60k mile bumper to bumper warranty. If i can find a digital window sticker i will post.

In terms of advertised price it was the cheapest one within 300 miles of me. Just so happened to be local.

Congratulations and enjoy the new ride! Try to keep that very red truck under the radar ;)

Man, that's the one truck that's acceptable to move to!

Congrats!

I had a 2020 "Gator" Gladiator Overland with everything on it. Brain hiccuped. Traded it for a 2021 GMC Canyon and got cash. 6 months later I drove out to look at Gladiators. "That's a pretty red 80th Anniversary" Should've kept on driving............. They gave me more than I paid for it + rebate + discount = I now own that 2021 red 80th Gladiator...........and I like it better then the 2020. People DO NOT go look at any vehicle right now if you even think you might be thinking about trading. Because odds are, you will.
You traded a Gladiator for a Canyon? What possessed you to do that? It would have taken a large amount of cash to have me trade for a Canyon. But glad you are back in a Gladiator.

I'd trade my gladiator in a heartbeat for a TRX. Like, I wouldn't even think about it.

Trading it is one thing but its the big chunk of money that would have to give as well. I don't think I would trade mine. I had a damn nice Ram 1500 pretty loaded that I traded to get my JT and I haven't missed it at all. Having so much more fun in my JT than I ever had in the ram. Now my wife I think misses all the room and comfort, etc of the ram. She is also the one who thought I was crazy and is always the one who now wants to jump in my JT and take the top down, etc. I have become a taxi service for those who didn't want me to get my JT

this is cool. I dont blame you for sticking with the JT, i loved mine too The TRX is my fifth Ram. Have had a big horn (2007), a Sport (2010) and two limiteds (2012 and 2016). The TRX is a little different all around than those. It was really the halo nature of the trx plus the insane used car bubble happening right now that made me feel good about jumping in.

It certainly is one hell of a truck from the photos, etc. That info center in the middle is very nice looking. Appears everything is all touch screen for the most part.

Let me start by saying this forum and jeep culture in general is awesome. We have enjoyed every minute of building our JTR and learning from others.

If you haven’t noticed the used car market has lost its mind. I stopped by the local Hendrick store and started a conversation that ended up with me trading keys. Yes, we traded the gladiator.

The dealer gave us over $56k for the Silvertruck, which is within 10% of what we paid (with first lift tires and wheels). Obviously we ate the rest of the mods, thats what happens. But, the trade gave us substantial equity that we rolled plus a little cash into a new truck.

But not just any truck. I am talking about a 2021 Ram 1500 TRX. 702hp, 650 ft lbs hellcat powered supertruck. 14 inches of travel, 8 drive modes, soundtrack like no other truck on the planet. All with state of the art interior and infotainment.

Its apples to oranges, but keeps me in the mopar family and a chance to own a hellcat that meets family needs as well.

This has been a great forum, and thank you all for reading my stuff and commenting on my build. Let me know what you think or if i can answer questions. Silvertruck wont be our last jeep. See you on the trail!
