Have had the standard Duratrac on my work truck for the past year, put 50k on them and replaced them with another set, Duratrac RTs 10ply. Both have been fantastic and the RTs are even better being able to run them at 70psi.

Im hoping to grab a pair of the RTs for the JTWD but run them with much less air.
You may have been in another conversation about the duratrac R/Ts but do you think they are good for a daily driver who never tows? I was nervous they'd be way more than what I need and take too much of a MPG hit, especially going with the 285/75/17.

If I didn’t go off-road and didn’t tow, no I wouldn’t buy these.
But I think they check all of the boxes and are snowflake rated, so for an all around above average capable tire and great for the snow they work for me.

Ill throw my hat in.

Had my Duratracs (35s) for about 65k miles now over 2.5 years. I do 5 tire rotations every 3k miles. I can prob get 80k miles out of them. 90% highway as home life has stopped me from camping/overlanding/having fun :(

They got a bit louder but honestly you barely hear them over the wind. I very much enjoy them and would get another set but ill be moving to 37s soon and they dont come in anything bigger than 35s.

I had 2 sets on half ton PU's, 1 set on JLUR. They get noisy around 25K, soft sidewall reputation, excellent in snow, met all my expectations/needs.

I had a set on a 80 series 1997 land cruiser that I had dropped a 4.7L V8 into. These tires were absolutely unstoppable in the northeast snow storms. We had a couple of bad ice and snow storms where I was one of very few people able to get around. It is true that the Duratracs needed to be rotated frequently, and they were a little harder to balance. The Duratracs also stuck to the Moab red sandstone like glue- made me feel very safe on some of the drop-offs. I like Nitto Ridge Grapplers right now but I would consider another set of Duratracs if I were still in snowy country.

The RT version comes with a Kevlar sidewall. ?
Looks like they offer those in a 35 (well 34, but 33.5 according to them) by 11.5. I wonder if they will have the same soft compound and be 3peak rated.

The last 3 sets of 33s on my 4runner were Duratracs. I am very happy with them. Great all around tires and can get 50k miles out of them. Sadly, they don't make them in 37s. My Toyo RTs at about 38k are on their way out. Trying to decide on new tires.

As others have stated, they probably get louder than any others I ever ran, especially after 25,000 miles it just keeps increasing. In fairness they all get slightly louder but the Goodyears will have you bumping the radio up 4 or 5 more clicks.

They are decent tires though but I'd still buy Geolanders or BFGs over them. Those are better tires IMO especially in Ice and Rain.

My Falcon Wildpeak MT have no noise issues as they wear.
Ive had mine getting noisier as they have gotten worn down. just started noticing it recently. Surprised they are like this.

How often do you rotate them?
