Do all you guys drive in a rock quarry? Never had any issues with any windshield on any vehicle I ever owned. My current jeep came with gorilla glass. No issues so far.

Funny thing is, we do actually drive past a cement plant every day, which might as well be a rock quarry. The rock trucks are constantly coming and going, and dropping little stones to big rocks all along the highway. My wife has replaced 3 windshields on her 2018 Wrangler JLUS, since we moved here in 2021. I've had to replace 2 on my F150. The second one, I kept repairing (at least a dozen times) until I finally caught the haymaker. A stone caught the exact top of the glass where it meets the frame, and it split my window right down and across the drivers line of sight. It essentially played connect-the-dots with all the chips and existing damage. At least we have zero deductible glass coverage, so it doesn't cost us anything. My wife has been an insurance agent for over 30 years, so she would notice if our policy rate increased. So far, the Gorilla Glass is proving its worth. I've had a few pops and bangs, but so far (fingers crossed), zero damage.

I think everyone here knows that Gladiators and Wranglers love to play catch-the-rock with the windshield, which ultimately results in cracked windshields. I just got my 2025 Gladiator Sport in November 2025 and I already have 4 cracks on my windshield. I’m surprised I haven’t been arrested for possession of crack (okay, bad joke). Seriously, I’ve heard of gorilla glass windshields. Does anyone have any experience with it on their Jeeps? How does it affect performance, if at all? Does it resist rocks? Finally, is it worth the investment?

don't spend the money on GG, if your insurance doesn't cover chip repair and OEM replacement, cause you will need it, spend money on the protective film. I already have 2 separate chip/crack episodes, none on the trail, all in town driving. GG is crap for the money.

I wonder what it will take to revert back to the normal glass and antenna style ? I personally prefer that look and function of the pre 2024 glass windshield.

I've had countless, literally, replacement windshields in the 3.5 years I've had my '23. In Arizona, windshield coverage is required to be included in the policy. (rocks fly, here) Progressive has always covered with no deductible & no premium spikes. Until the last replacement, after returning from a 4 month journey to Alaska, they would pay for the Jeep factory windshield. Which I liked because of the cute jeep climbing up the inside right corner. So this last time they would only pay for aftermarket, so no cute Jeep crawler. However, this one has lasted, so far, nearly an entire year without even a ding. Is it a better quality than OEM? Who knows, but I've never been more than a 6 months without a replacement and 1 time it was only 1 week between new windshields.

Go to Amazon and search for windshield easter egg. Or windshield decals. Or Jeep windshield Easter egg. Get you a dinosaur for one side and a Sasquatch for the other. You can get mountains to chase your little Jeep over and everything!
