the radio was not up to par (i had 5 inch not upgraded)
I am an audiophile/musician
Pick one.

The rest of your points are valid and I wont discount them, but i've never met someone willing to consider themselves an audiophile who wasn't willing to spend money on an upgraded car sound system. $1295 isn't that much in the car audio world for a audiophile.

You can't in one paragraph claim to have exacting standards and also express a disinterest in paying for those standards to be met.

Im fine without the power, what gets me is just the lack of adjustments available at this price. The fact that this truck has less seat adjustment available than a prius is just baffling to me.
The Tacoma seat was as adjustable for many years, just recently having a power drivers seat. Passenger seat of the Tacoma is still as adjustable as the Gladiators. Over time the cushion will adjust to the driver, but comfort is one rabbit hole that some people will go down. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/gladiator-drivers-seat-is-uncomfortable.49061/

Having had power memory leather seats in an H2, I would pay extra to avoid the weight (!!!) and complexity in a Jeep. I would be ticked to have to rip out 100 lbs of crap I don't want to carry more payload of stuff I do want. For the H2, maybe 200 lbs!

Heated seats and steering wheel though, that's FANTASTIC.

To the OP, I'd suggest you give a Volvo a try. The seats are fantastic. They are like a good piece of furniture. The downside is that they are thick. So it eats into passenger space.

Re power seats and the bronco.

Over the years I've come to the conclusion that power seats without memory are useless. Its no quicker or easier to get yourself back into position after someone else drives with manual seats than it is with power.

I am coming out of a car with 10 way power adjustable seats with MEMORY. And that was wonderful. My wife gets in the car and pushes the memory button and it goes to her settings. I push #2 memory and it goes to me.

Shoot, you could even program it so the seat automatically adjusted based on his and hers key fobs.

Memory is wonderful. But without memory, power seats mean nothing. (note - the bronco with leather comes with power seats, but no memory. Also of interest. The $30,000 Bronco SPORT comes with power MEMORY seats. A big fail on Ford's part. The interior of the Bronco jus sucks. One of the reasons I ordered a Gladiator recently)

I wouldn't go that far. I've never seen a 10-way manual seat in my life.

Sorry to hear op I drove my gladiator across the country sometimes 13 hours straight and honestly I was shocked at the comfort like I didn't even expect to be comfortable driving that long but I was the whole time

Seat slammers made a huge difference for me. 6-5, 280, and back muscle issues, not bone. Messed up ligaments / muscles in my sacroiliac years ago and it rears its head every now and then...

From what I read on the OP post it was really the seat discomfort due to back issues that was the deal breaker...the audio and lack of paint coverage from the dealer that only exacerbated the issue....Like the OP if there was one or two littel things of issue I would not really care, I would just deal with them, but a big one like seat discomfort with a nagging injury, I would bail...I on the other hand am brand loyal (lots of jeeps over the years, and Rams before that), and would have looked at the New Grand Wagoneer, that thing is a beast, and looks like they have a great system for seats " front seats are heated and ventilated and feature 24-way adjustable power and adjustable lumbar support, and memory. Enjoy even greater relaxation by choosing from five unique modes in the front-seat massage system "

Maybe you missed my response about making the concession. Not to mention if this were the only issue for me I would live with it and enjoy the hell out of the truck.

I did look into them but from what I could gather it would give a slight recline which is actually bad for me.

You nailed it, hands down the decision to get rid of it was the discomfort and the fact nerve pain re-entered into the equation. The rest was simply feedback on my overall experience to do nothing more than help the next person doing research. As I have benefited from this forum, thought to give back so to speak

It still boggles my mind that a $56,000 truck doesn't have power adjustable seats. And now that Ford is doing it in the Bronco, Jeep can't use the excuse about keeping electronics dry. It's just B.S. The seating position and overall comfort is certainly not the best in the JT/JL. Good luck to you.
Well...

That's because the Bronco is full-sized, don't you know.

I believe that the Gladiator is built to comfortably seat drivers 6 feet tall or less. I have 14,000 miles on my 2021 JTRD. I have made several trips to Montana and back to Washington State and I recently did a 14 hour trip from Wyoming to Enumclaw, WA. I think the Gladiator rides as good as my Tundra did. The Gladiator has the 2" MOPAR lift, 35X12.50X17 NITTO Trail Grapplers on FUEL Off Road 9.5"X17" wheels and a WARN 12S winch hanging off the front. I'm also getting 20+ MPG with the
diesel, the Tundra got 12 MPG.

Not every vehicle is for everyone and there’s nothing wrong with that. I love my Mojave after 3 weeks and I think it’s a very nice interior and enjoyable to drive. Obviously you can get way more comfort for 56K in other cars but I wanted what I wanted and I’m happy with it. Hope your new BMW suits you better!
