Thanks for all the responses! Here’s where Lasfit says no manual trans vehicles so likely I’ll go with Voswitch. I’ll keep you guys posted, and thanks again!

The issue with the manual transmission is the firewall hole that most companies tell you to use is the hole for the clutch pedal, that you don't have available.

With my Voswitch, I didn't use the hole for the clutch, I dropped the windshield and routed the control cable through there and down under the speaker grille cover. To me it was much easier and faster. It doesn't leak either. I did the same thing on the other side for my ham radio power cables.

If you do it that way or make your own hole, you can use anyone's switch setup.

There are other ways to get wires thru the firewall. Any switch or switch panel will work.

+1 for LasFit. Awesome product.

And yes, lockers are needed for mud. You and your friend just proved it ?

Do you think having just the rear locker would’ve helped or probably needed both?
As a fellow Floridian (to the OP) the answer is probably maybe.

Loved the factory look of the Lasfit and the optional safety feature (will only engage when in 4-low when wired to allow this feature). The switches do not require the safety feature to be activated.
That setup looks nice!

When rooting around in the mud and soft sand, 4L is more of a handicap.

yea, 4lo is very touchy in first gear and I gave it a little too much sauce and then bogged down. Second gear prob would have been a bit better. Still learning this thing but it’s totally fun. I had a Rivian before this and the torque vectoring on it was like a cheat code

Couldn't agree more. Mud is what made my decision to install Rubi take offs in my Willys. Could have gotten away with just locking the front though since the rear LSD was plenty capable. But I'm glad I went the direction I did.

Another thing you can try in that situation is using the hand brake as traction control. Saved me a few times when I had open diff 4wds spinning one in the front and one in the back. Doesn't look like any kind of traction board or pad would've helped where you were.

Does anyone still make autolockers for the JT? I had a set in my TJ and it was quirky, but I really liked it. I think they would work really well in a JT because of the wheelbase, but I don't think I would want it in the front.
