So, got stuck today. Front had one wheel turning and so did the rear. Went straight home and bought front and rear Eaton elockers.

The Jeep I was with has Rubicon f/r axles w/ OEM lockers and he walked right through it like nothing ?

I’ve searched high and low and can’t find decent switches to activate the lockers with my build (listed below). I’m sure it’s been posted enough to make everyone sick, and I’m sorry, but I’ve googled for hours and days. Below is my build:

2020 Sport
Manual transmission
Non max tow
40” tires
RCV Sport front axles w/FAD
5.13 f/r gears
Falcon 4.5” lift
RC steering stabilizer

The question: which switch can I use?
-Lasfit uses OEM Rubicon switch
-Voswitch says not to use with manual trans unless to safely run through firewall

What do you recommend based on my build?

Were you in 4lo?
Probably cheaper to have a winch, or a friend with one.

Shhh, don't tell people that lockers are for more than rocks! People swear on this forum that you only need them to rock crawl ?

I personally like the voswitch panel on the grab handle for switches, can run the wire in through the windshield instead of through any grommets.

Isn't BLD supposed to kick in in 4lo as long as you keep on the throttle? I'm surprised the wheels spun as they did given the BLD literature out there.

In any event, elockers are going to be awesome. Nice Jeep. Not sure about your question but Eaton would probably know.

Bld only squeezes the brakes momentarily and then let's go once you lurch forward a bit, usually you just end up humping the obstacle if one wheel on each axle really has no traction since it won't stay locked up. It's basically just a cool name for off-roadish traction control and no replacement for lockers or an LSD.

Any switch to activate a relay should work.
You will need a switch and a relay for each locker.

Search Amazon for jeep switch panel and pick any you like.

When I first added lockers I used two switches from my Voswitch Aux switch panel along with the Mopar available 2 wire Locker harness. A few months later the Lasfit Locker Switches came out. Loved the factory look of the Lasfit and the optional safety feature (will only engage when in 4-low when wired to allow this feature). The switches do not require the safety feature to be activated. I kept the Voswitch Aux panel in place and now have more Aux switches then I need at this point. Very happy with both the Lasfit and Voswitch Aux switches.

Do the manual gladiators come with a limited slip diff? Can you add a locker to a jeep with a limited slip diff? I always wondered if you could.

yes you remove the limited slip and install the locker. You'll no longer have limited slip

Do you think having just the rear locker would’ve helped or probably needed both?

Lasfit switches for me. They work great and look factory. They're not cheap though.

+1 for lastfit and they are programable for use in any gear or just 4low, i would look at getting take off rubi axles too. After pricing everything out with install the cost was close to the same but you will get 4.10 gearing AND larger axles

You then can recoup some funds by selling your old ones too

I think rear only would have gotten me through. There’s a vid of me getting stuck and left rear stops spinning altogether
