I received my Groundshaker box the other day that holds 2 8" subs. The box itself is built really nicely and fits good other than it definitely sits out pretty far due to the studs sticking out of the floor. I'm going to be removing the rear seats/carpet to sound deaden so when I do, i'm going to cut those studs and see how it fits and report back.

Thanks for the pics! I plan on purchasing this box for 2 - 10's. The amount it sticks out doesnt bother me but I am anxious to see the difference without the studs. Please keep us posted!

I have this box for the 10's. Its a quality box. The 12" sub box does not provide enough air volume for 12's even tho they make it for 12's. I wish they would have come up with a way to produce more volume for properly accommodate 12 in subs.

Where do you keep your jack kit now?

For those of you with this enclosure, are you worried about someone easily stealing it if you have your doors off?

WOW that is expensive. I went a different route, an old box I had from my previous truck. not perfect but i am happy with the results.

Will all the seat hardware fit back on with that in place?

If it were just the box and no amp, it would be perfect with no issues. The amp makes it a bit tighter where I have to slam the backseat to lock it upright. I'll probably move locations later when I figure something out that works better, under seat? Here are some photos with the seat in. Still cleaning it up and finishing..

Happy to see somebody go with the behind the seats solution! Did you happen to measure how much space is back there with the trim out? is that a fiberglass box?

thanks

You could research different subs as the enclosure volume is different for different subs and sub manufacturers. Also, shallow mount subs sometimes require less volume.

I have dual subs under my seat and I bolted the box to the floor using the factory bolts for the compartment cover. A thief could still steal the speakers by simply unscrewing them. But, then they would have to spend a few minutes doing that and can't just simply grab and go! It makes them a little more exposed and that may deter them.
