Gupton Motors up to 8% below invoice

Almost the exact build I would want, except Silver. Would you mind divulging your actual cost, before and after fees? I have to factor in a flight, and then hotels for the trip back to SoCal, and would really like to confirm that Gupton is the way to go, for me.

I dealt with Daniel when ordering mine last week. I got the 8% below invoice and it matched up with the spreadsheet almost exactly. But I got 6% below invoice from a dealer in Austin, which is 9 hours closer to me.

I ran the numbers, and with a better trade-in closer to me, plus the costs involved in driving back home, and the lower doc fees in Texas, it probably cost me an extra $200 - $300 by not going with Gupton, and that was worth it to me. But YMMV.

That said, Daniel was extremely responsive and was great to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to him for the next Jeep.

The fact that he was straight forward and very helpful made me decide to go out of my way to bring him my business. Without him and a few other dealers we'd all be paying a lot more for our trucks. Also I felt his easy negotiating style might also mean an easy buying process and so far seems to be.

Yea I am interested about those who financed through them. Is it worth trying to source your own or are the rates in the ballpark?

I got a really good rate through them. The only thing I wished I hadn't done was buy their "standard" warranty. Odds are I'll go to a dealer where I live and get it taken off. You can get a far better deal buying max care warranties elsewhere.

I felt their financing was competitive, the rate I got a few weeks ago was 2.3% (ending up being through a local credit union and not Chrysler capital.)

When I picked mine up 2 months ago, I had a pre approved loan from Navy Fed with 2.29% APR. They were able to get me a loan through Chase at 2.39% for 72 months. I went with their loan, .1% difference is like $200 over the course of the loan. With the extra 1% off invoice price I still saved about $300 going with their financing.

I don't have a reliable phone number, sadly. But I just sent him an e-mail to [email protected] and that was enough to get started. I'll try to dig up a good phone number, because I think he works for the umbrella group of dealers, not specifically Covert CDJR.

EDIT: Scott no longer works for Covert. I'm working with the dealership to keep the same negotiated deal.

Let's pretend it did take 12 weeks. That puts us into August. Would your build then automatically become a 2022 model? Would it be subject to the 2022 price increase and screw your deal? Or would the order just be cancelled on their end due to timing?

when I ordered my gladiator last year I ordered late May and it was delivered in August. It was still a 2020 and pricing didn’t change.
