Clogged AC evap drain (SOLVED)

For the past couple months I’ve had problems with water in my passenger footwell when running the AC. It took me forever to finally find my AC drain because of the ecodiesel exhaust pipes in the way and also because my AC drain is unrecognizable. It MELTED and sealed itself shut.

I know the DPF gets hot during regen, but damn.

I had to drill holes in it for the water to drain out.

Smart move with the reach claw (is that what they are even called? lol) So if the drain melted, how are those wires doing? That's kinda nuts

Wow, you must have felt a major sense of accomplishment. All I can say is, job well done.

Surprisingly, everything else up there looks intact. I still don’t understand how this happened and why only that one piece melted.

Did anyone worked on it before this happened? Are you owing your mechanic any money? Lol

No one worked on it. I’m suspecting that this happened when I was off-roading and my DPF was doing an active regen. I guess it got hot enough to melt that plastic piece.

I've had done many active regans while idling in 100f without any issues. Unless they had changed supplier, i don't see how that can melted like that with a huge air space between the DPF.

The melting point of these plastic pieces is ~300°F. The DPF gets up to 1,200°F. Things get a lot hotter down there when off-roading than just idling. That’s the only thing I can think of that would cause this.
