Hey @Archie Bunker I just re-read the posts and I gotta agree with @rvillano8188 Most folks here well remember Red and his heat issues/concerns. He, like you had a legitimate issue. We all think that Red made such a stink about it that the moderator may have kicked him off of the forum and had every single post of his deleted. All @rvillano8188 did was to say that he was reincarnated. Donā€™t take it in any wrong or bad way. Trust me itā€™s all good with everyone here.
I agree and concur about the infamous "Red". I do not however like the reference to or being compared to someone labeled that way. I apologize for the blow out, but not the reason. I have been on some forums where asking a legit question or raising concerns are met with petty rebukes. Just making sure that this is not the norm here. I plan on putting lots of miles on Archie and sticking to the dirt and rocks as much as possible and want to be able to report things back to help or stimulate conversations about my experiences. Not be met with silly comparisons to known trouble posters.
So, soapbox has been scrapped and burned. I have a bunch of events and trail rides coming up between now EJS2020. Hopefully lots of things to post and hopefully get answers or more questions. Hope to see more Gladiators "Out There" soon.

I have the exact problem, Iā€™ve told numerous times to the dealership but they just tell me itā€™s something they havenā€™t had a report from factory as an issue so we basically have to wait for them to get lots of complains. I ā€œfixā€ the problem just turning the recirculated air on and of and it immediately stops blowing the hot air. At lest I know Iā€™m not crazy! Please let me know if you have any new information

I was wondering if anyone has had an issue with the area around your feet getting really hot all of sudden.. It has happened to me three times after I have driven for about 40 to 50 miles. It will feel like all of a sudden a vent or something has opened up and it will get hot around your feet/legs for a few seconds to about a minute, then it will go back to feeling normal. The air coming from the vents will still be cold. The AC will be set about 66* to 68* and it will be set to blow out the dash vents with the re-circulation button on. I had it in to the dealership and they drove it for awhile and they cannot tell me what the problem is because it would not do that for them. I have had other Jeeps(4) and did not have this problem with any of them.

Adding a me too. When it happens if you open the glove box there is a ton of hot air circulating. When I got home from my 200mi trip this evening the passenger floorboard was very hot to the touch. Not good. This does not happen with my 17 jku. Iā€™ve had my JTR 5 weeks now and we noticed it day 1.

He guys thereā€™s a star case opened for this. They have to take apart the entire dash and get to a screw/bolt that was placed incorrectly. Which cause the fresh air coming into Cabin to not circulated through the a/c system.

Just got mine back, nothing done, response was its supposed to do that to keep the evaporator from icing up, just plain crazy that people actually think that AC systems are supposed to work this way, oh wait those are the people that work at dealerships,

Is this from experience? Mine continues to do this and and passenger floorboard on long trips is well over 130 degrees under the carpet.

It's supposed to do that or there all that way. Must be the go to answers for the dealerships to get you out and down the road shacking your head.

This thread is so interesting... I picked up a Gladiator 3 weeks ago and have only about 600 miles on it - my first jeep ever - and I've thought I must be going crazy because my right foot would randomly start to feel hot for no apparent reason. It's done this 3 or 4 times. I asked the passenger each time but they didn't feel it. I thought maybe this was just a jeep thing....

I'm happy that I don't seem to be alone in this, but am not happy there doesn't seem to be a fix...or even acknowledgement from the dealers....

I don't feel any hot air blowing, even when I reach down with my hands. It just gets hot down there...like the heat is radiating through the floorboard or something

so this is my second gladiator and they both have had the same issue. I took it to the dealer and this is what they told me.

No there no acknowledgement from the dealer on it at all. and @JeepCares will close the case as fast as slamming a door as soon as the dealer reports there's nothing wrong, any help is non existent, just like the TSB for the steering boxes well just have to wait till FCA does something...ā€¦ā€¦..

Rocket Builder,
Thanks for the STARS numbers. 2nd one might be a good one to have looked at, pin retention is a problem in any connector, workmanship!
