Yea I’m surprised that more people are not complaining about it. I’ve been in contact with Jeep Corps. They talked to the dealer and there are going to use the JL TSP to fix the problem. Since the TSP doesn’t say the the dealer need to duplicate it, just if the customer notices certain symptoms.
I will certainly inquire about it next month when I visit the dealership where I purchased.

Interesting - let us know if it does help.

Same issue on my JT as on my 2018 JL. I had a battery concern and visited a Jeep dealer in Lewisville Tx. They knew nothing about this issue. They looked for codes and found plenty but nothing on this hot air issue.

Maybe this was already posted (did t read the whole 6 pages) , but is there something where an ecu trys to "clean out the catalytic converter" by creating a rich gas to O2 condition to heat the cat up? Maybe this is occurring due to a faulty O2 sensor or something.

Engine is not running hotter, it is the HVAC blend and temp door actuation methodology under the dash that is messed up.

Mine does this too on long trips. Purchased it in Virginia Beach Va. and did it all the way back to New Orleans. It’s definitely noticeable....probably wait to see if there’s a fix before taking it in so they can tell me they can’t duplicate the the problem. But I will notify them about it, in 2 weeks I’ll be headed back to Virginia and will be paying attention to this issue.
We certainly understand why this would be concerning, BMcD. Please send us a PM if you decide to address this with your dealer. We’d be happy to provide an additional layer of assistance during that process.

ohh so this isn't the floor boards get hotter, this is, the HVAC is blowing hot randomly? that's different than Red's reported issue.

Yeah, way different but probably contributed somewhat to his observation and perception that he blew way out of proportion. I think Red was a diabetic with circulatory issue for what happened to him.

Red is Reincarnated!!!

I would like to thank this guy for being the first D-Bag I have come across on this forum. I have read all the crap people said about this "Red" person and this guy compares me to him after a simple comment about my floor getting a bit toasty. Lazy joke if that is what is was. You, are the reason people do not post legitimate questions or observations. Just an FYI, I am out there USING my Gladiator as both a daily and an off-road rig. In its 4300 mile life it has probably done more than its share of off-road parks, trails and rock crawling. So, something simple like my floor boards got a bit warm and you don't like it. Grab your binky and move on. As a side note, this is my 10th Jeep. If you want to try and flame me, whatever, be that keyboard warrior.

Wow, someone pee'd in your Cheerio's this morning. Relax, it was a joke. No one's questioning your ability to drive a vehicle both on and off-road, nor do I know you, nor do I care how many jeeps you've owned...

For the people who have been here since "Red", they will know that no one could quite be like that guy. This wasn't the first joke related to Red, and won't be the last, but this is the first one I've seen where someone got their panties in a bunch.

People post plenty of legitimate questions and observations on this forum. This is the internet in case you forgot. People are allowed to make jokes every once in awhile, or would you like us to ban emoji's too because it takes away from the forum's legitimacy as a resource?

Hey @Archie Bunker I just re-read the posts and I gotta agree with @rvillano8188 Most folks here well remember Red and his heat issues/concerns. He, like you had a legitimate issue. We all think that Red made such a stink about it that the moderator may have kicked him off of the forum and had every single post of his deleted. All @rvillano8188 did was to say that he was reincarnated. Don’t take it in any wrong or bad way. Trust me it’s all good with everyone here.
