Alright, So Hot Debate Right now Looking to change my fluid on my front and rear axle for my JT 2020 Overland North Edition.

According to my build sheet it has a

COMMAND-TRAC PART TIME 4WD SYSTEM

Traction Control

M210 Front Axle

M220 Rear Axle

As far as my build sheet goes it has no Trac-Lok As far as I'm aware on it.. Unless I'm looking at it incorrectly.

But the Major question, on hand is if i need oil with the additive doe i use Amsoil 75-90 ? Or Royal Purple. Kinda need help from the more experienced community on this one cause im at a lost with A LOT of conflicting information here.

Build sheet is provided below if anyone wants to take A gander and point me in the right direction.

Having the friction additive in there does not hurt anything, if not needed, and is required for some axles. Pick the fluid you're happy with and change as recommended.

Dude, use the Valvoline oil that comes in the little squeeze bag. Makes changing the fluid easier. You're not going to end up with a definitive answer here. You can use 75/90 or 75/140. My manual says 75/85 I think it is and Dana specifies 75/140 so it really doesn't matter.

Right on, I just been stressing reading over all this stuff from various sources around and it seems like their was no real definitive response.

75/140 is recommended if you do a lot of towing, or high speed driving in a hot environment. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter, just change as needed. If you are concerned about warranty, use what the manual specifies. If you are really concerned about warranty, have the dealer do it.

You build sheet states you have the anti-spin differential . For some reason, "Trac-Lok" does not show up on the build sheets but usually will on the Window sticker.

I would recommend adding the friction modifier fluid regardless of whatever gear oil you use says has it already.

This. The valvoline 75/140 will keep you safe with any axle these could have.

Does anyone have a part number for the friction modifier fluid handy?

Can’t you just chalk the front, lift the rear of the truck with the transfer case in neutral and see if both tires spin then act accordingly?

No reason not to use 75/140 with friction modifier though. It’ll hurt nothing.
