Oh carp... Not having a Rubicon I did not drill into the details... I just read that they were able to install it on a Rubicon. 20 hours... man, that is a lot of work to make it fit then... the winch plate I mean...

My apologies for the confusion. :(

I can only confirm that I was able to install it in my Mojave without issues and without buying anything else.
I found a bumper oem take off, 550 shipped on facebook, lets hope it wasn't a scam and it actually fits.

anything i need to be careful of replacing it? like not setting off the airbags or something?

The airbags should not be a problem. If it is a concern, just disconnect both batteries while doing the swap (be careful with the cables). It can take up to 24 hours for the head unit to fully recover. The only wiring you should have to worry about is for the fog lights.

I installed a steel take-off bumper on my Mojave, but it needed some modification of the skid plate to make it work. The dealership had a Rubicon skidplate that we swapped out and that helped a lot.

I went with the Quadratec steel winch bumper. I thought about the aluminum version but the price was right on the steel bumper. It was about a 4 hour uninstall of the plastic bumper and install of the new one. Had to notch the skid plate slightly but the cordless peanut grinder made quick work of that.

I installed the Venator this weekend! I love the way it looks, fairly easy to install (except that dang over rider bar, but my kiddo with little hands helped ;))... The crappy winch I have I had to rotate the controller box because the wiring poked out the back too far but still thinking about how I want to resolve that or leave it sideways... I will say that I'm a little scared of having to taking the over rider bar off anytime i need to get behind the grill tho!

Oh I've got a Sport S with no skid plate.
Why does it not fit?

Congrats! There aren't any airbag sensors in the bumper so no worries there.

I too have a Mojave. Same requirements EXCEPT the OEM look. As far as I'm concerned I wanted a steel bumper I didn't have to worry about so I went with the Signature Series Full Width without a bull bar and the swing up front license plate option. I'm just not willing to bet on a knock-off. Because I didn't order the bull bar I think it looks much more stock than those with a bull bar.

Only took me a couple of hours to install. I'm blessed that I could afford it---perhaps you can find a used one on the bay.
