I installed a 1.5 lift on my 23 overlander it looks nice but it has a real stiff ride especially going over bumps even small ones! Any advise on how to fix it? It has the stock shocks, will replacing the shocks to any other length help or particular types? Thanks in advance!

I installed the 1.5 kit that goes over the spring.

You need shock extensions or new, longer shocks.

I assume it wasn't a stiff ride prior to the lift?

To be fair, I did a 1.5" spacer in my truck with stock shocks with no change in ride quality.

Not to say all cases are created equal, of course.

I do have slightly longer 5100's now - but switching was unrelated to the level kit.

Did you retorque everything while it was in the air or sitting on the tires.
If in the air, something could be bound up causing it to not cycle properly.

I Know Im in the minority but I could tell a difference in ride quality with spacers added and they were not as large as yours . I called it " an exaggerated rebound " with spacers. I replaced with the correct springs to get the desired height and all was well , many times .its a cheap way out for a reason

I put a 1.5 terraflex spacer kit on my Mojave and it definitely changed the ride. I would do shock extensions or just do new longer shocks and a true 1.5 coil. The spacer is probly compressing the spring hence the rough ride.
