The High Altitude is a variant of the Overland model. The dealer is trying to sell me a 2023 High Altitude to replace my 2020 Overland. Since they can't be ordered anymore, he found one that is close to what I want. It is missing the Trail Rail Package, Factory Bed Liner, and Front Camera.

I don't see Alpine Premium Audio listed in the build and price site, or on the window sticker. Is it included with the 8.4 UConnect system in the High Altitude?

My Overland has the under seat storage box that comes with the Trail Rail package. Can that lockable box be ordered separately?

The front camera I would like, but can live without (have for over four years). I purchased one of the Tazer camera clones on a Black Friday sale from Amazon, so I have that I could install in the new truck.

I'm looking at the TeraFlex rails, instead of the Mopar rails. My RSI SmartCap uses the Trail Rail Clamps.

I'm sure the dealer can get the bed liner done locally. I have not decided on that, yet. I do have a bed mat.

You are trading your overland in?
Just take the under seat storage box and trail rails out of your current and swap them over?

the front camera looks like a decent amount of fun to install…. Definitely plan on doing sound deadening and what not at the same time to avoid ripping the interior out more than once.

You didn’t call it out… but your upgrading to a diesel at the same time too right ;)

I don't like all the emissions crap on them, but I would take one. I did not see any diesels available that have all the options I want.

that is good advice and should apply to anything else you want from your Overland. You can add bed liner easily - as a matter of fact, if you can’t negotiate the dealer adding it at no cost you might find that the LineX bed liner is a better product anyway and at the time I had mine done it was less expensive than the Mopar version so that was a win-win.
The HA also comes with the wide heavy duty axles. I’m also reasonably certain the Alpine audio was included in all HA’s so that should be there but good to call and verify with the dealer if it isn’t on the build sheet.
if you are working with your dealer to add stuff like the trail cam, you might also consider the aux switches if they will suit your plans to add lights. The aux switches are pretty easy to add if you like to work on stuff yourself but if not that was one of the first things I realized I wanted to add.

The High altitude comes factory with the 8.4 and alpine system just like the Rubi and Mojave. easiest way to check is to drop the back passenger seat and if you see a sub woofer then it the alpine. head unit, is well 8.4, which is obvious enough right?

I couldn't find any specific mention of the Alpine Premium Audio. The Details page on the Build and Price Site says it has a 9 speaker audio system, which I assume is the Premium Audio System. This one is at a dealer about a 1000 miles away, so no visit to check it out. It is the only one I could find in the nationwide inventory that is close to what I want.

9 speaker and apline are the same thing. I had the same issue when ordering my Mojave. Salesman confirmed its a standard option on High Altitude, Rubicon and Mojave trims. there's no lower option for them. takes the headache out of it. 9 speaker is a give away because that 9th speaker is a sub. non alpine systems don't have a sub so they will have an even speaker count. 6 most likely.

I have not really decided about the bed liner on this one, since I have a choice. My current Overland came with the factory bed liner. I'm thinking about one of the Bed Rug liners, since I have a SmartCap to go on it and carry a lot of stuff in the back.

I'm not really up to a actual factory style Trail Cam install, but might do one of the type that connects to the Cargo Cam port. This one has Aux Switches already installed, which will make things a bit easier for me.

I like the idea of the padded bed rug if you are doing the cap. Way better on your knees if nothing else. That HA actually has some really nice things added! I had not looked at the window sticker earlier. Best of luck with it if you go for it!

Not so fast.
Where on his Monroney sticker does it say 9 speaker? It doesn't. So lets compare my Monroney and what it says.
Jeep Gladiator High Altitude and Some Questions 1708617492256

Clearly states Alpine Premium Audio.
This forum had a debate back in 2020 about the same thing. My brother in law bought a Rubicon with the 7" screen and it had the Alpine speakers in it same as my 2020JTR with the 8.4 and listed premium audio on the sticker. He didn't have the subwoofer though. There is way to many variables coming off the factory line to assume this HA has premium audio if it isn't listed like my 23 Mojave

The only problem with keeping your current under seat, lockable storage is you'd have to have a key cut from your current key to be able to lock and unlock. To my knowledge they still don't offer a kit to change the lock.

Jeep.com says premium audio is standard on the 2023 High Altitude.

HA PremiumAudio.png
That's where the disconnect is. If indeed the 2023 Rubicon, Mojave and High Altitude come with Alpine Premium Audio, why does my Monroney state it under standard equipment and Mr. Bill's possible buy Monroney doesn't? I think it is going to be hard to tell until a build sheet comes out or someone looks behind the seat for Subwoofer.
