9k miles in Florida. Mopar lift with 35”. Stop/Start feature stop working a few days ago due to the battery needing to be charged. The vehicle is running nice. Love it

10800 trouble free miles since November of 2020. Mopar lift on 37’s and have a great big smile ever time I drive it. Couldn’t be happier!

Highest mileage I've heard of is 80,000. Unfortunately the guy doesn't post on the forum much. He's driving constantly.

I have about 24,000 combined miles on these Gen 3 engines myself, and the common timing cover leak is the only issue I've had.

We’ve got several 2019 eco rams approaching 100k and 2 above 115k which means they’re being sold soon.

I don’t stay on top of everything but the only time at dealers to my knowledge so far has been two DPFs 5 DEF issues and one leak thats not bad enough that we care to be without it. biggest annoyance to date has been the rate of battery failures.

overall given the size of the fleet and the fact that most of them are towing and or over payload nearly every mile, we’ve been quite happy.
we had about the same amount of issues when we were using STX F150s with the 2.7 eco. In between we ran 5.3 Chevy and they were far more problematic and the worst on fuel mileage. two of them had powertrain failures and the fords ate a few turbos

Well this thread is somewhat reassuring. I've been having terrible anxiety lately about potential failures or problems. I have 3 young kids, ages 5, 3 and 1, and the idea of being stuck on the side of the road is less than appealing to me. My anxiety about it is definitely irrational, but it has made me wonder if I made the right choice moving to the diesel. I definitely LOVE the immense torque and consistent 23-24 MPG for sure, but I'm getting more and more paranoid with all the horror stories people keeping posting about this diesel. Maybe I should just stop reading here. LOL.

I knew this was a new gen diesel and it would have a few bugs. I had posted earlier that this is the ONLY vehicle where I also bought the extended warranty. I had no interest in the gasser. I love this diesel JT. Hoping to own it a long, long time. Internet is always full of negative experiences because .... well people like to complain. Nice to hear some positive experiences in this thread.

My only concern is the staggering amount of emissions components and related sensors. So of the sensors alone are $600-700

Is Jeep standing behind these systems, I know emissions related equipment is supposed to be warrantied out to 80,000 miles

I ordered and picked up my 2021 EcoDiesel Rubicon around Christmas time last year. I now have just under 23,000 miles.

Leaking R/R axle seal around 4k miles, replaced by dealer.

The engine developed a ticking sound that was diagnosed as the alternator clutch. It was replaced by the dealer. Still has the ticking sound, but so do other EcoDiesel Jeeps that I have now listened to. :whew:

Other than the Mopar App telling me I have charging issues, I do not, there is nothing else to report. Yes, it does run hot in the summer climbing up mountain grades. But it has never de-rated on me even with my camper on going over the passes.

I am old school and still change the oil and filter every 3k miles. These new diesel emissions make the EcoDiesel run very dirty. Plugged oil passages plagued the earlier generations. I have no problems spending the extra money. I also use Hot Shot Secret fuel additive products. EDT in the summer and Extreme Diesel in the winter. Helping the fuel system stay well lubricated is a plus. I have changed the intake air filter once and fuel filter twice too. And replaced the cabin filter and replaced gear oil in the diffs. Maintenance!

Love the truck. Love the EcoDiesel. Love the torque. Love the fuel mileage.
Needless to say, I am still in love with this truck!

I'm just over 33,000 miles on mine. No issues, still averaging 19-20mpg with 37's, bed rack, and RTT.

I love this thing!

Just joined the community, and in research mode myself but no stranger to Diesel or Jeeps. I have owned Jeep Liberty CRD 100K, Ram Cummins 6.7 35K, VW TDI currently at 224K and the issues I had with them was not the motor. Most Diesel engines have had years of use overseas especially the smaller ones before they ever make it into something stateside. If you stay up on the oil changes (I am not a fan of the 10K interval) and preventive maintenance they will out last the frame. Our family dynamic is ever changing and I am looking to downsize and still keep the ability to tow looking forward to seeing what the Gladiator brings to the table.

What I would do buddy is offload that thing if you don't feel good about it. You're just attracting negative crap. You're obviously not comfortable owning it. Offload it and get something dead reliable for now. Also stop reading forums because even the most reliable Honda Civic turns into a turd.

With that said, this is the truck to have in these 2020s. You got good towing, it's not too big, you can have fun on the trails, offroading, it eats shitty roads, it cruises well on the interstate, MPG is good, you can haul anything from full size adventure motorcycles to motorhomes. It's got LED headlights, carplay, great HVAC system, looks great, fast as hell for a truck, chicks dig it, tons of aftermarket stuff, can make it into anything you want. Camper - sure, hauler - sure, offroad beast - sure, commuter - sure, highway cruiser - sure, BAJA beast - sure.
What's not to like here?
- coming from a guy that hated pickup trucks for the wasted size and bad economy

Hi, I’ve had my Diesel Gladiator for a year now, she currently has 25k miles on her. I work from home, use her mostly for long distance drives. Currently on a round trip of America working for friends in every corner of our nation, heading homeward soon. Driving her to Alaska next! Im treating her good, not waiting for the computer to tell me when to change the oil. Not a problem at all, pure joy to drive on and off road. fifth Jeep, second diesel solid axle jeep. ive read the previous posts, are any of the contributors to the older posts on the thread still active and if so still running their diesel jeeps? how are your diesels running now?
