Oh man I hope nobody got hurt!! The jeep was clearly going too fast - but running a stop sign is no excuse, probably on their phone. I liked how the black truck stopped - too bad they didnt get out to render assistance.

by the way what camera do you have? I'm in need of a home security system. Some of our gov trucks are getting gas siphoned and equipment stolen in broad daylight, at the office.

I am only using an Arlo doorbell camera at the moment but my neighbor just switched to this and its a great setup. Arlo makes some easy to mount cameras also with good quality and range but the cameras posted below are top notch

First I yelled at the SUV, then second later OH NOOO, the wrangler, then, F$#King Aholes someone needs to beat their @$$, just driving away. Followed by, what the hell truck, stop and help...oh wait, they are pulling over, good, through why is no one running to the wrangler. Anyone that does a hit and run, even if minor, should auto lose their license for awhile. Accidents happen and pieces can be replaced, "man" up. In this case, should def have it suspended. This was no accident. whats the spped limit there, 25

Think they are recording what's on the screen. I dont think its a direct download, because of the black frame on the side

100% fault ofbthe bubble suv, but an ounce of defensive driving by the jeeper would have prevented that completely. That other suv was in the intersection before the jeep approached.

Yeah, Wrangler had the right of way, but it was moving at a good clip for being in a residential neighborhood.

As stupid as it sounds, put your DVR in the attic or basement if you can. Had a few very professional thieves break into my shop with 27 cameras. Dummies, right? Nope... they walked away with the DVR that was under the desk in the office, leaving not a trace of video. Just thinking out loud.

My DVR is a bitch to get to. That was my first thought when I installed the system. Hide the DVR.

There is no speed limit signs in the neighborhood. So it could be either 25 or 35 mph.

I have been debating between a CCTV system, or wifi system for that reason. with wifi, you can get instant updates and alarms - of course your person and cell needs to be in cell range for that. CCTV is more secure, but if thieves find the DVR and theres no cloud backup, then all that evidence goes away.

I dont think thieves in my area are that smart. they have to be pretty stupid to steel from government vehicles in broad daylight during work hours.

I have and use Blink cameras, with the Sync Module. I get notifications when the cameras detect motion, can view the cameras anytime I want, wherever I am... without a subscription service. recordings can be viewed wherever you are as well. You can plug a USB thumb drive into the SYNC to record to, and that piece of equipment can be hidden anywhere (it's about 2 inch square and 1 inch thick), as long as it's in range of the wireless.

We have a Lorex system we got at Costco a couple of years ago: 8 channel DVR with 2TB storage, and 6 4K cameras that Costco had on sale at the time for $299 - great price. Comes with a phone app that allows us to view the cameras anywhere, and can be set up to record vehicles, people and/or animals and even has face recognition capability.

I don't see the SUV in the intersection much before the Jeep approached. I think this would have been tough to avoid.
