How do I get my my jeep out of Theft Mode ?? HELP

Guys so my Jeep was broken into , they broke passenger back window for access and tried to hard wire or something from the glove-box connectors . Security of my building came onsite and thieves ran away . The person was caught in camera holding a handful of cables , I'm assuming some kind of harness to bypass the key fob or something . Now I cant turn on the Jeep , Says FOB not recognized and alarm goes off . Does anyone know how to get it out of theft mode so i can drive it? Got to get that window replaced , was quoted $160 installed . but need to get it to start first

FWIW, his profile location says La Jolla which means San Diego, CA; so not only a major port but also right next to the border where there have been tons of Gladiator/Wrangler thefts because they can quickly get them into Mexico.

Dude, I feel ya, but you don't know what other damage they caused at this point. This is precisely what comprehensive insurance is for, which I assume you would have on a new vehicle. Let the insurance company worry about the cost... they actually have a better chance of getting reasonable repair costs out of the dealer than you do...

Another vote for insurance. Mine was stolen (successfully) in early January. Thankfully recovered and I have it back now. But let them deal with all the costs. Towing, repairs, and push for in-depth diagnostics to determine any damage that may not be obvious. Especially with the electrical components, there could be any number of issues that aren’t visible. Also, if you make thr insurance claim and anything comes up later down the line that can be linked to this, they will cover as well.

Pay your deductible and be done with it.

From those YouTube videos, one of the first things they do is clear all fobs and activate their own fob. They tap into the ports behind the glove box.

You probably could thank your building security team. A few more minutes and it would have been gone.

Tap out! Let your insurance deal with it. If you can do the reset, I'd get it right to the shop.

Sorry I don't have anything helpful to say, but you have my sympathy. My Comanche was stolen a year ago from right in front of my condo in La Jolla.

That CAN bus access behind the glove box really needs an after market locking cover. If they don't make one a few of these metal fab companies should get on that.

It's not just Jeep, it's pretty much all of Chrysler/FCA/Stellantis.

The Chargers and Challengers have the same issue.

Sorry to OP. I'm also in the insurance camp. But you really need to call the police first (if you haven't already?), as "have you called the police?" will be their first question.

I know there's sadly countless threads on theft, and I don't want to derail this one, but does anyone know of any particular stand out info with comprehensive (reliable) prevention options? A lot of what I've seen is always paired with "that won't work" comments. I know there's ultimately no counter to persistence and it just comes down to layered deterrents, but I'm not sure where the bang for the buck is in terms of which are most effective.
