Well, typically He rides shotgun, but if He want s to drive I let him take the steering wheel and I handle the peddles and turn signal.

I see you abuse your dog like we do. The horrible lives they lead. I'm surprised we haven't been arrested.This is exactly how we roll in the Jeep, boats, golf cart, and C-class motorhome. Dog calls shotgun.

It's just the wife and me, and 90% of the time, she’s not with me in the jeep. We have a 65-lb boxer who goes with me almost everywhere.
One of the first things In wanted to change was the back seat area. We’ve all looked at the companies out there that offer prebuilt platform options, and most of us have declined after checking the wallet. So I did this instead…
Unused cardboard and cut it to fit as a template, then transferred it to 3/4” plywood and covered it with marine grade carpet that is like a really thick, stiff felt. Some 2x4’s I have left over from other project were cut to length and used as legs and to increase stiffness underneath. Cut a hatch over the area where the top bolts are stored. There is a decent amount of storage underneath and the side panels are held in place by some strong neodymium magnets that hug a short piece of angle iron attached to the underside of the deck. Secured a bed for her and ran a ratchet strap with a 750 lbs breaking strength from side to side around the roll bars and added a heavy-duty section of of climbing rope with carabiners that attach to her riding harness on her back. She has the run of the back and is safe from getting loose in a worst-case scenario. Aluminum molly panels cover the back, and done… for now.
