Was in a grocery store parking lot and some lady with a mask (of course) pushed her full cart over to the car next to my Gladiator.

She said, "nice Jeep - I like that!"

And I thanked her. She then asked me, "how fast will it go?" :whatsgoingon:

I was stunned for a moment not understanding why anyone would ask such a question. I told her I've driven it 80-90MPH with no issues. I guessed right as she wasn't asking about 0-60 or ¼ mile :jk: times.

She said, "good, I'd like to get something like that" never explaining why she was concerned about how fast it'll go.

If I was asked to list all the questions I'd get about my Jeeps, that's not one that would ever make the list.

I think it's like 97 or something like that. Someone here did it.

That is indeed a strange question, but yeah it depends on the tires that it came with as to the factory speed limiter. My Overland is limited to 110 because of the tires that came on it. Obviously, when modified other factors come into play like if you are running 37s on 3.73 gears.

I’ll never forget many years ago, I was riding with my friends and we were driving his wrangler, we pulled up to a stop light. Then these dudes rolled down the window of some lame suv and said “that’s not a real off-road vehicle, want to race?” Dumbest thing we’d heard at that time.

Which naturally became something we said to any of our friends in any type of off-road vehicle for some time after that.

Put a set of these on your Gladiator. I guarantee you that will no longer be the first question you're asked ...

limb risers always get questions. I got to the point where I said they are deer wires, stops the whole deer from hitting the glass.

JTRs are governed at 97 mph top speed.
My EFI Live custom tuning for my 6.7 Cummins allows me to set the speedo to shutoff at 250 MPH (not even joking). I didn't notice any such type of provisions in the Tazer JL Mini menu options... I wonder if this is something they could incorporate? Not that I ever have a need to go faster than 97 MPH in my JTR (it was squirrelly enough at 85 MPH in stock form, but haven't been on the interstate since the upgrades), I'm just curious as to why it doesn't have that as an option since it allows you to adjust pretty much everything else.

97 MPH is the max for an unmodifiied LE stock tires and rims.
Squirrelly, but what else is to be expected from a brick on a roller skate. A friend tested it for me :giggle:

I‘m all about cruising slow and really enjoy the ride itself. I hate being hurried.

It is a natural question to me.
new zero turn mower - How fas will it go?
Barbie Jeep - How fas will it go?
new drone - How fas will it go?
new paycheck - How fas will it go?

Seriously, I agree on two things in the thread so far:
1 - Not the most reasonable first question
2 - She was hitting on the OP
