Most definitely!

I’ve gone through more than half a dozen rigs in the past few years, trying to find something that just fits. Crosstrek was too small, the Colorado had limited aftermarket support, the F350 too big… Just nothing that really had me wanting to keep it for longer than I needed to. The closest thing I had my hopes on was an AEV Brute, but that was a pipe dream.

So when circumstances changes last fall, I made no hesitation and picked up mine fresh off the truck, sight unseen hundreds of miles away. It was an adventure getting it, and the adventure still hasn’t stopped some 7,000 miles later.

This is the first daily that I actually own and hold the title to since I started driving. The only other rigs I now get a little envious of are other gladiators!

I’m smitten with it. I can’t even walk by it and not rubberneck it. And it just chills in the driveway. The truck it replaced after 80k miles, the most I ever put on a rig, I barely give passing thought to. This Glad has soul, and is damn good at all the things it made promise to.

purchased july 2020 and have almost 13k on it so far. it's the most fun i've ever had in a vehicle. everyone has mentioned the good things (and i agree on most) so here are a few complaints:

1. gas mileage absolutely craters when you ditch the dinky stock tires for anything bigger and remove the air dams. turning off ess hurts it even more. i'm generally at a combined 15 mpg and i drive like my grandmother.
2. 7" infotainment system is trash and i wish i had sprung for the 8.4". every 2-3 weeks it'll boot loop or crash entirely until i restart the truck.
3. pre-tsb steering issues were unacceptable and resulted in a lot of white-knuckling on the highway. had to have it replaced twice because the first replacement failed. also bump steer is a bitch and a half.
4. highway speeds + crosswinds = bad time.

all of these issues are inherent to having a jeep, so you have to take the good with the bad.

Hopefully those things get resolved soon. Good to see you take it in stride despite it. Every car I’ve owned had its own issues. If you expect it all to be perfect, you’ll be perfectly disappointed.

Six months - love the size, utility and sunshine.

Only real downside is the wandering at highway speed - really only good for local traffic/trips.

actually i did leave off my biggest gripe: the windshield wipers are dangerously inadequate in storms. the max speed isn't nearly fast enough to wipe a flat windshield. i have no idea how it passed qc that way.

sadly, i won't be keeping her much longer. trade-in values are too good to pass up right now and i need something to haul around car seats and 2 dogs in the next year or so.

Get the TSB done and air down the tires. I have not had the TSB done and aired down my tires. I don’t really notice much wandering outside of my lack of attention.

My gladiator has been my second vehicle since October of 2019, and Ive only put about 13k miles on it. I’m switching jobs, sold my commuter car, and my gladiator will be my full time “work” truck.

For the last month, I’ve driven it everywhere and I have to say I still love it. It was difficult comparing it directly to a nice car switching back and forth. Comparatively, the ride is harsher, handling isn’t as good, steering… isn’t like a car.

But I’ll have to say The last couple weeks I’ve loved driving it every day. I guess my point is I never really got a chance to give it 100% of my use, but now I am enjoying the heck out of it.

I’m going to be putting around 35k a year on it the next 3 years, so I’m excited to drive the crap out of it and see how it holds up. I’m also quiet curious how much the gladiator will sell for with over 100k and being 4 years old. Time will tell…

I get it. It doesn’t always fit everyone and every situation. I’ve owned 5 and always come back for the utilit.

I’m keeping mine. I usually do. Last truck had 216,000 and previous to that had 372,000. Time will tell.
