Age is only a number. A Jeep will keep you young for ever.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ā€œWow what a ride!"

Not nearly as experienced as some. I learn a lot from people on this forum. 45 years old. Jeeps in order. 1980 CJ7 with 304, 2007 Commander with 4.7, 2012 Grand Cherokee Overland Summit w/ 5.7, 2014 Cherokee Trailhawk w/ 3.6, 2017 Renegade Trailhawk w/ 2.4, 2021 Gladiator Rubicon w/ 3.6 3.5ā€ lift and 37’s. This one will never be sold. I said that about the CJ7. I have dreams of finding it someday.

My first new car was a '70 Bronco bought new for $3600 OTD. Did the Dusey Ershim trail in the early 70's with dad and his '61 CJ5. Been doing 4x4 in So Cal since the early 70's. Places i went are closed now. Almost everything I have owned has been 4x4. I remember 25cent gas.

I may be offended LOL what do you mean by experienced ,old, I have experienced all sides of all my jeeps inside and out but that being said there is always more to learn.

I also date back to the first half of the last century, but didn't get into Jeeps until 1992. Had a YJ, KJ, LJ, and now the JT.

First new Jeep. I was 21. 74 CJ-5 with 304 V-8. I put on headers, 600 Holley double pumper, Edelbrock Torker intake manifold, Purple Hornies mufflers and Mallory ignition. Spent weekends in winter in the mud and summer in the sand.

I’ve only had my JT (first Jeep, too) for about a year, and only took it on one real overlanding expedition (Death Valley). But I’ve been in software engineering for almost 20 years, and what I’ve learned about ā€œexperienceā€ is you never stop gaining it. Either through trial and error, or listening to others, there’s never a real limit to how much you can learn. I plan to apply that to my off-roading adventures as well.

We're stuck,

probably 13 in this picture, in back on the left, I drove this CJ5, my friend Carl, (in the suit) drove it all the time, at the same time my dad had a 76' Land Cruiser 33" tires, was a monster in the mud and dirt, People my dad didn't even know would show up at his shop with bets to race through the mud, Never LOST !!!

The start of my Jeep time, couple of years down the road the Toyota was mine and it disappeared was stolen from our back yard,

I remember when the Armstrong Tru Track came out,, a 31 inch monster. We put a 327 V8 in Dad's 61 CJ5. It was a rocket. I've had some great 4x4s and hope this JTR is one of them. Getting harder to mod them.

Over the years, a CJ3-B, a M38 (flat fender) at least 1/2 dozen M38A-1, a Kaiser M715 1 1/4 ton truck, ā€˜67 Wagoneer (wish I had that one back), ā€˜73 CJ5 (engine was blown so I dropped the tranny into the Wagoneer), a ā€˜61 Willys pickup, I’m sure I’m forgetting a couple. Non-Jeeps included a Vietnam era M151A2, a FJ-60 and Land Rover Disco. Drove one of the M38A-1 Jeeps (ā€˜55 model) from GA to CO when I was 19. It was too slow and wandered in the lanes too bad for the interstate, even with the 55 mph speed limit at the time. I left it there?. Here’s a couple I just happened to have photos handy of, along with the Gladiator.
