5k changes synthetic oil and OEM filter on all of my cars. My E63 Blackstone engine oil analysis reports are immaculate at 90k, so I’m pretty ok with my methods.

I change it when it gets a darker color (amber not black) that's usually around 5k my 87 year old mother(still driving) has me change hers every 15K & tells me to change her filter every other time, point being she
's been driving 71 years & never had an engine oil failure. oh by the way I change the filter every time
Yep what @ShadowsPapa said. You have proven nothing with this comparison. The computer will not lie to you, these engineers at FCA are pretty smart. Follow that and your probably good to go unless you see oil leaking from somewhere or smell oil burning, otherwise I follow the computer percentage and change mine about every 8,000 to 9,000 miles.

People Work?
Just did my 10k change new years day and mailed the sample off this morning.
I think I'm sticking with 5k intervals regardless.

And anyone can google oil colors and find there's no rhyme nor reason for the color of an oil in a gas engine. Some will turn darker by sheer heat even if not old, some won't, it varies wildly. It's one of the poorest ways to judge oil that there is.

Old 90s Honda called for 7,500 with conventional oil.
I can go back farther than that - and have posted pictures of owners manuals from the 1970s that specify 7500 miles.

I thought it was funny that a buddy of mine at work changes his every 3,000 miles in his 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I asked him after his last oil change what the computer was saying percentage wise and he said it was at 62%. He didn't even know you could go longer than 3000 miles with newer engines running full synthetic oil.

Absolutely. I remember an article in the early 2000s about Honda updated their manual, telling people 3k miles oil change was unnecessary and to follow their specifications.

Many drank that 3k oil change kool-aid during the 90s.

Heck, you can go over 3,000 on conventional oil and have been able to for decades. Just that some myths and legends never die on the web because they get repeated over and over and over in thousands of places until they become fact.
Even fleet service in the 1970s was 5,000 miles. I know, I worked on a lot of police and patrol cars. No way they got oil changes every 3,000 miles.

This is from around 1970, or at least early 70s -

This one the date speaks for itself -

Now the 2.0 liter was a different animal and required oil changes every 5,000 miles....

And that matters a lot.
Oil changes are YMMV things. (and personal preference)
I don't blame you - living where it's hot and dusty.

With the oil they recommend, 3-5k is too frequent and a waste of money. I do mine when it tells me to. Usually around 8k miles.
Same here when the computer says change oil. I change oil. As it also takes into account the rpm and load strain that is put on the engine. Things the organic operator forgets about.

First at 2500, second at 5000, now every 5000. Oil and filters are cheap. Doesn’t take long.

Every 3500-4000 miles. I have 14 oil changes so far. I have 52K miles. I use the Mopar Filter and Pennzoil Platinum full Synthetic 0w-20. No ticking, no leaks. Engine seems very solid.

Note: First one was at 1000 miles, 2nd one was at 3000 miles.

Note2: I have a stick shift, and I also rev. it up to 5300 rpm every other time I drive it or so. Not necessarily full throttle, but, in a lower gear. I read somewhere that this is good for engine lubrication on these motors.

Note3: Almost zero oil burn between changes, maybe 1/4 to 1/8 or a quart or so... 5 quarts puts it above the full line after an oil change, and before the change, the oil is just at the full line, or just a tad below the full line. This is fantastic.
