Good use of it - catching killers or proving someone is innocent.

Works for me.
I'm all for it if it catches a killer or proves an innocent person is just that.
You have reached absurdity with your own responses, including the above response to my statement. I have never said data was not being collected, I have stated several times that I know it is being collected. I simply stated that the vehicle is not necessarily uploading all the data it is logging.Yes, I'm sure the 20 billion euro company that is receiving the information and selling it, complete with earnings reports and explicitly stating in multiple places that they sell information means they are not getting any information to sell. ?
It's one thing to not care about it, that's for each person to decide for themselves. To say it's not happening at all makes you look foolish, we know it's happening - you're arguing a point after stating you won't even look at the evidence. You're starting to cross the line from "denial" to "absurdity".

Luckily lane departure doesn't exist on Wrangler or Gladiator LOL.I feel like you would be all for it until it affects you in a way you donāt expect it to. Which will
Happen sooner or later.
As in maybe one day they will tell you judging by your age and the fact that the lane departure has initiated several times per mile that you arenāt uninsurable due to being high riskā¦ā¦. Even though that particular road you drive to work every day was painted by a hung over road crew that refused to pick up tree branches and dead animals first. Just painted around them.
I meant the first paragraph the second paragraph was a half a$$ joke.
I'm glad you've only had one sir. We probably live within a 5 mile radius of each other and my insurance premium has gone from $1,100 for a 6-month period with $100/$300 on everything, $250 deductibles, $5k in medical payments, $40/day rentals, roadside and just about every other option to $1,860 for state minimums, $500 deductibles, no medical, no rental coverage, just roadside. I did the math, I think it ended up being something along the lines of a 60% drop in coverage for a 60% increase in premium and 100% profit.I didn't read the links, it's just more FUD being spread. Has anyone been able to confirm that Stellantis provides VIN encoded data?
The insurance rates here are affected by poor drivers, scams, and state laws. I've been using AAA Insurance for a long time, with no issues. The first big increase was last year, and it affected everyone statewide.
I'm the same boat... but the PCM's in these collect all sorts of data. How many times do you floor it? What's your average speed? How many times does your ABS activate for emergency braking? What's your top speed? What time of the day are you driving? My Rubicon has zero nanny sensors so I guess there is that!
But you are in the same pool as crappy risky drivers. We've also had 0 claims, tickets, etc.
