For the group, this is how it's laying after a few days of winching trees and branches for storm cleanup.

Its all piled on the driver side (booo) and without my fast idle controller, low is achingly slow so cable winding gets a little squirrely.

So after fighting this rope all weekend I finally broke.

Problem solved.

Please note the lack of overly expensive winch bling. I think a lot of the factor 55 stuff is cool and probably would do great on a competition rig but... well I'm not bothered by it, I make my own soft shackles, bridles etc. So... yeah... my winch bling lives in a tackle box and looks like knittig needles to the uninitiated.

Let’s see, this guy has it all (bumper, roller fairlead, light up high, lights down low, big lift kit, bigger tires) $1000s of dollars of “cool” off road stuff. However he is missing the one thing he really needs... A WINCH! And if that isn’t enough toss in the overheating of the angry Jeep and vision constructing windshield plastic and you have a nobodies mall crawler. See reference photo.
