How To: Stop the key fob key from popping open

Pop off the back cover on the fob then take out the four little torx screws so you can remove the key and spring assembly. Simply snip off the little "tail" on the spring and reassemble the whole thing.
Now, the key release button will still hold the key in open or close position but will not pop open by itself.

Thank you. I almost never have this problem. And I’m pretty sure that when the key does spring open, it is because I hit the button somehow.

Yessir. about as cheap as you can get (a rubber band may tie with it though haha).
