knit picking here but is jeeps quality control really this bad ? If they can’t get little things right what about the bigger things. Look at the beginning of tire tag info And the top of the tag. Looks like they were running out of ink. Vin tag is the same way. The closer you look the more you find. Don’t get me wrong I love this Jeep , just hope it lasts a while for almost $60,000

It's probably just an issue with whatever printing system they used on it.

Printers of any kind can have issues over time. Probably only a problem for a matter of time until it became noticeable and probably corrected by now. How you even noticed that is beyond me. Or why you care that much to make a thread on it. Thought I was picky.

You have to “see owners manual for additional information” to read what the printer missed.

I hadn’t noticed before what you bring to light. I found I had to guess what the dry printer was trying to type.

The day I picked up my truck (custom ordered) I noticed a scuff in the plastic on the oh crap handle by the passenger door. Decided it wasn't bad enough to worry with.

That week while at home I dropped the back seat down to put stuff behind it. As the seat came down the plastic cover around the lock / release pull on the seat fell off and onto the floor. The clip tab was bent sideways (installed incorrectly). Straightened the tab and clipped it back on.

Back window began leaking at 9,000 miles. I have a strip of $8 EPDM foam tucked into the top now. Stopped the leak.

it's had five check engine lights in 10,300 miles. I've been collecting the data and ignoring them.

That sticker is just the tip of the iceberg

I love my truck, BTW. It's suited me very well so far.

I don't see how this has anything to do with Jeep QC.

Next thing you know, they'll use more ink and people will complain that the numbers 'bleed' into each other.

People seem to want to get worked up over nothing these days. The age of outrage.

Seriously? That's a whole different thing. For companies, the hire the printing done. And when things are printed, they are printed en mass - meaning they don't come out one at a time, inspected by humans for perfection and printed again if imperfect.
We have no clue how or where these are printed, even the company or people in control.
And frankly - what does a printed decal have to do with quality? It's not like you found missing parts or a spot where there was no paint, etc.

I wonder- how many here have supported, repaired, and been involved in the upkeep of high-end, high-speed printers? I have - for 2 major corporations. They aren't your Staples or Office Max printers.

I'm going to assume this was a joke, or posted simply to see how people would react to such a post.

My beef with the decal is the fact that the top two lines (seating capacity, etc.) are not centered vertically. It's pretty sad that they can't get the label sheets loaded and run a test print to ensure thy are centered. That's just plain silly. Come on, how hard is it to center text on a decal?

Welcome to the world of Jeep. Even the aftermarket for Jeep seems to have the mentality of "good enough" our willys had the outline of "gladiator" on the driver's side of the hood because they miss stickered it. Just have to accept it, and take comfort in the fact that it will hold its value, even though it's rough around the edges.

Personally I’d rather they focus their energy on getting other things right than a weird batch of door jam stickers.

If you work in any business in any capacity you have to know you have to deploy your energy and resources in a way that makes sense and has some ROI for you and a customer.

Perfecting the door jam sticker I imagine has never ever come up before, ever.

Having worked with these types of label printers, I can tell you that no alignment holds over time and it's never perfect. It wanders a bit label-to-label. There's a margin which this label is well within. The end goal is legibility, not perfection in typeface or location.

I can't believe we're actually talking about this. There is zero, ZERO, wrong with this door jamb label.

I was saying it more tongue-in-cheek (or with sarcasm if you care)

I get forms, papers, labels, etc. all the time that are no better than his door tags.
