Awesome thanks. I’ll be 2” taller looks like it should still provide assistance and be safe.

Mine is supposed to arrive Tuesday, so may be installed by the end of the week. Will take pics if I get it installed by the weekend, as I'm on travel after...so wouldn't be until May.
Did you end up purchasing the heavy duty version from Amazon ?

Installing/pic would be great ! I'm sure it will turn out great !

Same, I was almost at 42/43" on a mopar lift / 37's... mine is a JTRD, if that makes a difference.

You can get handles, too - a handle that slips into the striker. It's a heck of a lot handier than a folding stool that is still going to make you stretch between the stool and a high tailgate. Ladders allow smaller increments........

a fold-away gaf hook on that handle would make it convenient to ‘grab’ that item that rolled to the cab end of the bed Without having to climb in.

40" tires and 4.5" teraflex lift.
Not trying to ask a dumb question, but what points did you use to measure ? 100% flat ground ? Did you measure to the "TOP" of the tailgate where the actual mounting plate bolts in ?

Not questioning you, just asking in order to figure out the difference in the measurements being reported.

I am going to re-measure mine today and pay more attention to detail.

* Based on your pictures and the angle of your ladder, you measurements appear to be right.

Hopefully @SD Rider will receive his and have time to do the install before his trip. Maybe we can talk him into detailing and taking pictures as he goes along.

Great idea, that will be how I measure mine today, maybe I screwed it up before, but I will be sure to pay attention this time.

Unfortunately, I took the HF ladder back already, but not going to sweat it, I like your Amazon version better. ?

After all this tailgate ladder talk, I don't think I ever asked, how often do you use it ? When does it seem most useful ? Any negatives/downfalls yet ?

being closer to 100 years old than 20, i always use it. i try to not rush tasks but it is easy to be preoccupied and not give oneself the best footing. if loading something onto the tailgate with the idea of sliding it into the box, it does need to be moved. if you noticed, i have a rubber mat on the bed floor, which MINIMIZES sliding. zero regrets except it is $10 cheaper now than when i bought it!

I also have a rubber mat so I understand very much the "no slide zone" ?

I'm a little over the middle of 100?...
but have disabilities. I can see the ladder being very useful. The only constant challenge I could foresee would be loading my wheelchair. But still having good upper body strength, I might be able to lift it over.

Pros seem to outweigh the Cons , so far.

Mine measured 42" to the top of the bed liner on the thickest part of the tailgate. I did the install on my driveway but had to pull into the road to get it flat to ensure it worked....I was nervous about those 3 inches! :CWL:

No need. Works perfectly!

Pics of install to follow. Notes: 1) Don't use all of the factory screws. They are much too long and may interfere with the bed hardware. Especially for the tie down. Really close to the internal hardware. 2) Open up the large access panel and make sure you don't screw into anything. 3) Use my placement as a guide only. Your tailgate may look different inside. 4) I may get some black silicone or some sealant and go over the screws to prevent rust and water leakage....maybe Black Flex Seal? 5) OMG!!! It was the first time that I've ever just walked up into my bed!!! Usually climb up on the bumper or wheel. This think is AMAZING and super sturdy! 6) Pay attention to the mounting area. I have 2 spare holes due to misplacement, so I hope this helps. Oh...and the little crappy washers will get removed before sealing.

I tried to attach pics, but cannot. *edit* switched from Firefox to Chrome....
