I asked this question in the middle of another thread and didn't get much response. Has anyone done this project by just lifting one corner at a time instead of lifting the entire front or back end? I have done this project before lifting the whole end and it seemed to be harder than it needed to be with a floor jack and stands. I read somewhere that someone did it one corner at a time and it actually made getting the spring out a little easier, not to mention a little safer. Any experience or thoughts on this?

I have wondered why people don't use a spring compressor and then jack the frame up to release the spring, one at a time.

I have thought about it, and maybe I'm timid but the spring compressor scares me a little, a lot of energy released if something stupid happens.

Did you get the geometry correction brackets?

Thanks for the update. I’ve been thinking of doing this lift on my Mojave.

The back was really easy doing both sides at once. The front was a bear doing both sides at once. Getting it high enough to get the space underneath with the both sides loose was still fun. Having play in the other side made it possible. I did the rancho geometry brackets and while I was under there I did the Metalcloak rear sway bar reinforcement and the sector shaft brace and upgraded the steering stabilizer.

I did go with the very slightly longer Mopar lower control arms(the ones they use for 2 inch lifts)...they might be half an inch longer.

For an average, somewhat mechanically inclined individual, it's a 2 day job without a lift....there are people that say they can do it in 4 hours...I guess I am just slow and after getting up and down a few dozen times from the concrete floor, I just get slower, lol. There is always a hiccup or two somewhere that eats up a lot of time, at least that has been my experience. I am glad I did it though instead of getting a shop to do it.

I had the help of a friend who got too deep in his bourbon, luckily his son came to help. It was a good 9 hour day doing it all at once. Without the young legs it would easily have slid into two days.

Looks great! Its interesting, I had more trouble with the rear on the Mojave, finally had remove the brake calipers and still had to use a spring compressor for the last inch of getting the driver side spring back in its perch

I removed the rear brake calipers right away. There just wasn’t enough slack in the lines. I didn’t have to break out the spring compressor for the front but I did have to compress them by hand about an inch and a half by hand. Watch your thumbs lol.

I bought those but haven't installed them yet.
