Hey everyone, so my launch edition rubicon Upon start up the dash displays just says Jeep and shows a sport front end.

On YouTube and from other people’s post I see that their rubicon actually say rubicon when they turn in their JT and it shows a Jeep with the steel bumper!

like wth?! I tried to select rubicon with the tazer And it ended up messing up everything with every single light coming on. I had to restore to factory defaults unMarry and remarry just to get the Xmas tree of lights to shut off.

Any help with this ??

Just to continue the discussion over here, I put a picture of them side by side. The LE is on top, Rubi on bottom.

I will have to show this to the dealer. A friend of mine confirmed that their rubicon says rubicon so it seems like us launch edition folks got the shaft

Make sure the Tazer is updated with the latest firmware and try it again. I have no issues changing my startup splash screen with mine.

Good to know, hopefully it’s that easy.

My Sting Gray Rubicon has a Sting Gray Rubicon on the splash screen. Thought it to be a cool touch, but do all Rubicons get Sting Gray? (At least it’s looks to be that color)

I suspect I'll catch some heat for this but in my opinion (and you know what they say about opinions) splash screens, stickers and badges are just modern ways to waste development dollars. These are nice details and Easter eggs are fun but I just want to start up my truck and go, without watching a video snippet every time, wondering why it doesn't exactly match my build and paying for said development. In terms of marketing and pricing, I'm thinking it benefits the manufacturer much more than the consumer (who is paying premium). Maybe I'm too old school. Don't get me wrong... I'm still going to love my Jeep :D

development that took them all of 10 mins to do when they made them for the JL and all they did is transfer them over to the JT except for the launch edition. Sometimes these little details go along way.

this topic is pretty much about the principle fact that all models got their specific splash yet the launch edition gets a basic splash? It’s straight lazy in FCA behalf.

All due respect and all, but as a software developer 30+ years, I assure you there's no way, no how, not even close, that this animation took (start to finish) 10 minutes to develop, test, debug, regression test, repeat. Guaranteed.

Agree with you 100% that details matter. But the trend lately seems to be justifying an increased price by throwing less useful details at the consumer.
