Hi folks, first off I'm no expert on anything electrical, but I want to take on this and maybe learn something new.

I got some aftermarket LED lights for my 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. The lights came with a harness (attached wiring) and that harness has a fuse, a 40A relay and an ON/OFF switch.

Some of the electrical info for the LED lights: 12v led light, led off road lights, 12v 24v led lights. Wattage 210 watts.

My goal, if possible, can I rewire the ON/OFF switch that came with the harness and wire it to one of the AUX switches? Currently, I have one 40 AMP and 2 15 AMP switches available.

I'd appreciate any suggestions and info on how to go about this if it's even possible.

Thanks!

Doesn't number 4 on the chart literally say to run it to an aux switch?

Anyway, you close the circuit at that plug with the 4, it will activate the relay at 2, which will connect the battery to the lights. Basically your alterations would just be at 4.
Unless your idea is to ditch the relay to just switch directly. I'm not familiar enough with the aux switch capabilities to answer that part.

All 4 aux switches actually control relays, so using an aux switch wire you are running the accessory through a relay in the PDC.

The Black Blue and White wires indicate a lighted toggle switch with the lights he bought.
I'd skip their harness, ground the lights and run power for the lights from aux 1 or 2 (those are 40 amp)
3 and 4 are 15 amp capacity.

You can delete the provided relay and switch if using the factory aux switches for your lights. The factory switches incorporate everything already. Cut off the relay. Then just tap the positive into the factory splice point in the existing Jeep harness and attach the ground to an existing point on the frame. Two wires from the light and literally nothing more. Just google the wire color for each aux switch to figure out which one you want to use. No running wires through the firewall or anything. Everything can be run inside the engine compartment. Very simple
That’s how I wired my KC bumper lights. Never an issue.

Owners manual also shows aux switch wire colors, locations, amperage and more. You also got a kit with splice connectors and heat shrink with the jeep

I have a feeling the OP is just as lost as when he first posted.

For a fact:
1 and 3 are 40 amp.
2 and 4 are 15 amp.
You do not need a relay. Aux. switches already have them.
I have em and you can look at the relays and harness under the hood and see.

Interesting, mine has Aux 1 & 3 as 40A and 2 & 4 as 15A. Mine (2020) didn't come from the factory. I added the Mopar kit myself.

Not from the factory for sure - the factory auxiliary switch fuses and relays are in the PDC and they show up in the fuse mapping I posted.
Odd that they'd confuse people like that not using STANDARD capacities for each switch be it FACTORY or add-your-own.

Not doubting yours a bit. But mine is different. Promise you. It’s a 2022 Mojave
Then it does not have factory aux switches.
Yours is an add-in, it never came from the factory that way.

I posted the stuff from my 2022 - the fuse panel map is from a 2020 and 2022 Gladiator. The snip from an owners manual is from a 2025..
However, THIS (below) is from a 2022 owner manual and shows all factory aux switches are the same - 1 and 2 are 40, 3 and 4 are 15 amp IF factory installed.

I've had 3 of these, and all of them are the same if they have FACTORY aux switches.
So if yours are different, they are not factory installed.
Anyone with factory installed aux switches should follow what I've posted, it's correct from the manual and anyone with the factory switches can pull the top off the fuse panel and see the same chart I posted.

This is from a 2022 Gladiator owner manual - and it matches my 2020, and our 2023.
So from the factory, they are all like this, 2020 through 2025 ->

I agree. Whether you have a factory installed aux. switches or added later, they will both have relays. Wouldn’t be advisable to run 40
amps through a switch, that’s why they both have em.

Yes. These were added later. But oddly enough, they are a factory harness installed by a dealer. Yes they should be the same. But they aren’t.
