Knob Creek 9 year old is my current ā€œgo toā€. Before that it was Wild Turkey 101.
Other favorites: Knob Creek 12 year old, Evan Williams Bottled in Bond, Four Roses Small Batch, Buffalo Trace & Old Forester 1897.

EDIT: Just got back from the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. 7 distilleries in 2 days. Glad someone else was driving.
Add Old Forester 100 proof, Wild Turkey Rare Breed & Makerā€™s Mark 101 proof to the above list.šŸ„ƒ

I went to Cincinnati to see a friend's band and, of course, we had to dross the river and visit The Party Source.
The largest liquor store this side of the Mississippi. After the gig was over, we sampled a few......

Iā€™m a JD guy. My sister found me a bottle of the JD select Black label. Best one Iā€™ve had so far. Canā€™t find it locally but Iā€™ve seen it online. This is an old pic. Sorry for the blur

First tour in the Army, the go to for my buddies and I was pulling Wild Turkey 101 out of the freezer. If we didnā€™t want to hit it hard right away, Jim Beam and Dr. Pepper. Surprising how it tastes like a tootsie roll.
Now a days - Bulliet Rye or if I want to splurge, Red Breast Irish Whiskey. Canā€™t stand Canadian whiskey and wished I loved Scotch. My dadā€™s side is all from Scotland, Edinburgh area. Iā€™m first gen. American. Just canā€™t seem to fall in love with the smokey cough syrup. Love Irish Whiskey and American Whiskey, though.

mmmm, bourbon.

I've been trying out some small, local craft distilleries lately. Been tasting the offerings of Redwood Empire Whiskeys. Lost Monarch is a great sipping whiskey. It's an good blend of Bourbon and Rye whiskeys and is really nice. Has a hint of bourbon sweetness with a touch of spice from the Rye.

But I also like Bulliet, Buffalo Trace, Jim Beam Black Label, Stagg Jr., the list goes on. lol

I'm currently digging a small batch from an Idaho distillery. I love Heritage Distillery's BSB. The stand by is Bulleit.
