Go look at Travis's thread on this forum.Wait, so the 5-7% below invoice stuff discussed is no longer working with Travis?
That makes sense. A lot of people here are getting 3-5 under invoice without affiliate and an additional 1-2 if it does become available. I was assuming you were in the same boat. MSRP to 1% below inv is a heck of a jump. Your dealer will not loose money if they sell to you at 1% below inv, even without affiliate pricing just an FYI. Good luck getting them to admit it though.I am reading that right. I would effectively be buying the car for 57500 not 62800. You guys misunderstood, its not the 1% that I am worried about, its the getting invoice price vs msrp price. That IS a $5000 difference. So the $550 difference is highly inaccurate and only accounts for the 1% portion, not the much larger invoice vs msrp portion.
Call the concierge tomorrow and see what they tell you. Perhaps they would redirect - who knows, but if you ask you'll get the answer for lots of folks. Another idea might be to talk to one of the dealers on here, like spencer or travis. I think travis helped a few people out with redirecting - but that was on 4/4 and 4/5, not this late in the game.Unfortunately, I do not have it in writing for 2 reasons. One, when I agrees to pre-order it, FCA didnt have it excluded on their affiliate pricing and 2, I don't actually live in Reno so most of what I have done with this dealer has been over the phone (which would have been the case regardless of where the concierge service sent me). I live about an hour and a half away so its quite a trek to head in there are do anything. That is why I asked the question if anyone knows a way to redirect vehicle shipments or if I contact Jeep now will I just look like an idiot?
I don't live in Nampa, ID. Kent sent me a deal sheet. MSRP, invoice, $299.00 doc fee and discount stated clearly on the sheet. I initialed all the options and signed the deal. Done. This is the same procedure I went though with our JLR.Unfortunately, I do not have it in writing for 2 reasons. Wait. How do you have money on it then?Unfortunately, I do not have it in writing for 2 reasons. Wait......
If that really happened (I haven't followed it) it is shady for FCA to retroactively change it after Gladiators had already been ordered and NOT grandfather in those orders. Feels very Bait-and-Switchy but I'm not a lawyer. Bad for both dealer and customer.
Except the affiliate pricing rules was updated on april 10th to exclude the gladiator and I already had $1000 down on the vehicle that I paid for on april 3rd.Jeep never said they would honor affiliate pricing on the Gladiator. Dealers assumed they would based on past experience but it never materialized.
You have nothing in writing however so you are SOL unfortunately. Always get agreements in writing. Best way to avoid issues.Except the affiliate pricing rules was updated on april 10th to exclude the gladiator and I already had $1000 down on the vehicle that I paid for on april 3rd.
Except I have the credit charge on my card on the 3rd for initiating the purchase. That is beyond a reasonable doubt that the vehicle was being bought under the terms available on april 3rd.You have nothing in writing however so you are SOL unfortunately. My dealer quoted me with or without affiliate pricing and clearly stated if the affiliate pricing was available at the time of delivery I would get that extra discount. Very happy even with 3% below invoice that I got without affiliate discount!!Except the affiliate pricing rules was updated on april 10th to exclude the gladiator and I already had $1000 down on the vehicle that I paid for on april 3rd.
And this is why I started this thread. My jeep hit KZ status on saturaday so I was trying to find out if anyone had any experience intercepting a shipment to go to a dealer that would "honor" the pricing regardless of if Jeep would or not. I already spoke to Jeep concierge and Jeep customer care about it all yesterday so they put a ticket in for me and said that would call me back on Wednesday. My dealer quoted me with or without affiliate pricing and clearly stated if the affiliate pricing was available at the time of delivery I would get that extra discount. Very happy even with 3% below invoice that I got without affiliate discount!!
That proves nothing in regard to Affiliate Pricing. It shows that you put a deposit down. There is nothing stipulating agreed upon price for the vehicle. By failing to obtain a written agreement essentially you are accepting MSRP/at the mercy of the dealership.Except I have the credit charge on my card on the 3rd for initiating the purchase. That is beyond a reasonable doubt that the vehicle was being bought under the terms available on april 3rd.
