Yawn... Stellantis has the most capable pickup midsize truck on the entire market and at year 5 this is their bright idea to pick up their abysmal sales. If/when Gladiator production ends, it will go down as the biggest automotive fumble of any company in my opinion. Really is such a shame...
The only way they are going to boost sales is to go IFS and non removable roof/doors. The majority of the midsize pickup market doesn't want a noisy brick with mediocre handling and minimal creature comforts. They want a family vehicle that can haul things home from Home Depot and Best Buy.

Jeep was always going to run out of customers for the Gladiator, it's a niche vehicle.

Other than a bigger engine (which everyone wants and Jeep will never deliver), what else would you change on a Gladiator?

Lockers/gears are my vote but they're already available in other trim packages so would be nothing new.

Dana 60, maybe?
A simple option to get all of the above along with different gearing. Offer up a package with at least 35’s, bead lock wheels, bumpers. Have an option to order it how you want instead of a lot of us dumping thousands and thousands of dollars after purchase. Why wouldn’t they want that money instead of the majority of the money going down the after market tube.

Be nice if “Dark Sky” meant a top you could easily view a dark sky with. I guess they do only show it topless but a dark sky could be a rainy sky.

A package just to justify some one job. Another line on the list. Stickers. Jeep is becoming a joke. The final, final, final edition. How about an extraction edition complete with a snatch block.

So with a purely target-marketing perspective, "dark sky" is a cool name and speaks to me-- much like Harrison Ford did during the superbowl. Jeep seems to get marketing right.

What doesn't speak to me is the "value" adjective. The other drawback is that you're still reliant on Jeep dealerships to purchase it, whether the sky is dark or not.

This lol. I saw an ad for a 2025 Joose 392 "Final Edition" and was like......wait isn't that played out 2 years later. Judging by the 104K sticker price I guess not lol!

I think any money they would make adding tons of "a la carte" options would be quickly eaten up by complicating the assembly process.

Sides, even if they did, I'm pretty sure I would think the tires/winch/bumpers/etc that Jeep picked would not be what I wanted. So I'd just be ripping that shit off and selling it for pennies on the dollar on eBay anyway.

Though you have a valid point on the 35" tire idea. Bronco's are currently the only vehicle that come with 35's factory installed. Jeep might swipe a few Bronco sales if they had a 35" Gladiator or Wrangler.

But here again....while I loved the size, I hated those Goodyears that came on my Bronco. Worse tires I've ever owned. So soon as they got to 50% tread I yanked them off and went with 37's.

I am aware ****allegedly**** of a design for removable doors that block sound just as well as permanently hinged version. If people are really at a point where they want a quieter cabin, what is ****allegedly**** going to happen is a fixed in place windshield with a steeper rake.
