I thought they were cool before I started seeing them on the road. First thing I noticed is how wide they are. For some reason I expected them to be roughly the size of the JL and not a full size SUV.
2.5 inches is not that much wider. They definitely look much bigger than that, but that's due to stance and proportions. Bronco 2drs are longer than jls, bronco 4drs are shorter than jlus. Height varies too much across models to quote exact number but the bronco is generally a touch higher.

That's the one I'm mainly talking about. You have to jump to an OBX and get the most expensive Lux package to get the heated steering wheel. While heated seats are in the lowest Mid package and available all the way down to the Big Bend.

Almost every other manufacturer offers a cold weather package of some kind. Heated seats, steering wheel and remote start. Pretty simple. People were screaming for Ford to offer this for 2022. Did they listen?? Nope.

And don't even get me started on the washout interior on the Black Diamond and Badlands. It ends at the rear seats. The cargo area and rear seat backs are carpet. People were screaming about that before the Bronco ever went into production. Again a change that could have been made that would please the customer.
The washout interior is much worse than just ending at the rear seats. There are areas where the vinyl flooring opens exposing steel. Sure there are passive and active drains, but it seems like an oversight to me.

Same here. Probably because all of the early promo shots were of lifted 2 doors with 35s and 37s and that skewed the proportions I had in my head.
That's why I ordered a lifted 2dr with 35s

Addressing the base question of jeep owner jealousy... it's a premise without foundation unless you're talking about the fringes of society.

Sure we've all seen videos of jeep bros in parking lots sitting their highly modified angry eyes JLs next to new 4dr outer banks and mocking them for IFS... but any population has a small proportion of dickheads. When I put 700 miles on my dealers badlands mannequin, every JL/JLU/JT I saw either expressed approval, or didn't care. Not a single middle finger or dirty look, just thumbs ups, waves, and head nods. As it should be.

Sure, some jeep people would like to have a bronco (many have ordered them) and I'm sure plenty others wouldn't. Either way we all just like the same stuff so the concept of jealousy or animosity is stupid.

Yup saw that. If I ever decide to do the Armorlite flooring I'm going to use some spray on bedliner on the tub around any areas that might let water in.

Meh. The title of that article is just an attention grabber. Only about half a paragraph mentioning jeep and bronco in the same breath. All anecdotal. Since I’m rollin around with a JT, I don’t even consider the two in the same category of vehicle so there’s no urge to even compare.

I personally think they look cool and have beefier engine options but beyond that… meh.

Same spot on both sides? Could it have bottomed out coming off the transporter ?
You're giving Carbuzz too much credit. They're a garbage site. You can ignore them. There's no substance or thought put into their articles, just regurgitated trash. Notice how that article is essentially a plagiarized version of Ford's spec sheet with a little flair thrown in.
This can be said about so many sites and news channels today. The worst part is when they get called on there BS they just dig deeper.

I had no love for the new Bronco until I see a few of the SEMA builds. They have potential. But I have zero desire to own one. If I won one I would sell it and drop a Hellcat in my JT.

I love Ford. I've had nothing but excellent experiences with my Ranger--Little fucker is bullet proof! I honestly never liked Jeeps--Then I saw this picture. I'm a cyclist and have only ever ridden Trek bikes. So when I saw the photo I knew god was telling me to get one. I'm a Jeep man for life now.. but I'f I had the money i'd buy a Bronco[a raptor and an F250] as well.

Jeep and Ford are great companies. No need to hate on each other

It's bloggers who write to get clicks and make money. Some of these so-called "car sites" aren't even run by people that have any true experience under the hood.

Until the Bronco comes in a truck configuration, there's no point in comparing it on a Gladiator forum. A Wrangler forum, sure. But talking bout it and comparing it to the Gladiator is stupid. Might as well be comparing Mercedes G Wagons to a Gladiator while we're at it if we're going to go that route.

I have no jealousy, I have wanted a Jeep "truck" since I remember the Scrambler as a kid. Then when I saw the aftermarket company builds like the "Brute" I said to self ..."If Jeep ever builds that from factory I am buying one" :)
I grew up as a kid in 70's a teen in 80's I remember found memories of dad's 72' K5 Blazer and his 1973 Ford Bronco ...also as a teen riding in a friends 69' JImmy (loved duel headlights) and a family friends Jeep Commando...and I owned a 1970 Scout as a project rig. I LOVE all cool builds regardless of manufacture.
Sure, when I had my Scout I used to give a brother in law crap about his 66 Bronco saying "Boy Ford did a pretty good job copying International LOL But all in good fun.

As a Chevy guy I wanted Chevrolet so bad to come out with a retro K5 full convertible Blazer instead we got an AWD murano :(

Gosh yes, I live in Vegas and with SEMA here last week I couldn’t help but regret buying a Gladiator. I really wish Ford would come out with a truck version, but if they don’t I’ll get a Maverick. I love Ford!
