This had better be a cruel joke they are playing on you.
I hope so but I’ve bought 3 previous Jeeps from them and have always known them to be legit. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was true. Worse case I have more time to save money for more options haha

I have a 2013 jk rubi on 37's with over 90k miles on it and its held up well, maybe I'm blind to these cheap parts, but the only thing to ever go out was the starter which upon inspection was full of sand somehow... I always hear everyone saying how junky jeeps are (especially from yota friends) but from personal experience, I dont see the correlation. The prices are high, unfortunately, but I don't think the vehicles like the wrangler feel cheap in any way.
I agree Im on the my 3rd Wrangler currently have a 2018 JLUR that I’ll be trading in for my gladiator. If anything i feel like the quality has gotten even better. I’ve never had any quality issues with any of my Jeeps and they have all been very reliable

Since everyone is admitting stuff, it's my turn. I'm the richest person in history. I bought 50 of the Gladiators for my friends to drive on my island. It's a good news bad news situation. The good news is a bunch of genetically modified people I call friends (three Jeep's went to the same guy who cloned himself!!!! lOL funny, when you say his name, all three of him answer!!) and all got to enjoy the ''glad' lifestyle!!!! The bad news is they all got ate by gigantic dinosaurs. But the Jeep's performed well.

Was inquiring On ordering and pricing with one of the jeep dealerships here in LA and was informed that due to slow production now gladiator won’t be coming out till September.

Anyone out there that can confirm this?
Probably trying to get you to buy something else today... JL, Ram, or anything else he can talk you in to right now.

Well I guess its time for me to come clean. I was able to buy a Gladiator 2 weeks ago. I am only allowed to take it out from 1:45 Am - 2:45 AM for now. It is a half Gator and half Gobi Rubicon.

So far I have not been able to get off road with it. With the small window of drive time FCA has allowed me all I have time to do is hall plywood around town.

Sorry it took me so long to tell you all.
Did you get that 2 door they were trying to sell me?? You lucky duck you lol

Im thinking they know production cost (parts and line time) but are still working out invoice and MSPR pricing. Point is, if they sell 40 trucks to marketing division for car shows and media test drives and they sell another 30 to movie houses for stunts (You know they tore a few up on Fast and Furious) and then ten more to various companies like AEV for aftermarket development you end up with 80 sold at production cost without having tallied an actual MSRP yet.

Side thought..... anyone look at an auto show gladiator to see if it had a VIN tag?? was looking at wranglers on a dealer site once and one of the hyperlinks to look at the window sticker didn't work right so i copied and pasted the vin number into the url of a different window sticker and it brought up the correct window sticker. Was thinking at work last night I should have looked at the auto show gladiator when I was there and tried that to see if I could come up with a window sticker price.....

They all have vin tags....

That's how a build sequence starts for any vehicle, preproduction or not....

But insert Kermit meme

Im a car saleman and a future potential buyer of the gladiator. Here lies the problem with a higher price point on the new gladiator. It needs to be priced right. Anything associated with Chrysler has sub par components from materials used on switches to levers and just plain cheaper quality material. With all the moving parts of a Jeep after 1 year of ownership of real use ( lifestyle vehicle) these vehicles interior/exterior pieces just don't hold up well. That goes back to being tied with Chrysler. General motors and Chrysler push out the cheapest materials on there vehicle. There is a video of a guy talking about the pros and cons of the new wrangler. He talks about the items that already broke or already showing wear and tear after a few months of owning it. I have test drove and sat in everything. If they think charging 40k+ justifies the lifestyle but still has sub par trim and fragile plastic components there crazy. This electronic shifter is garbage that there implementing is horrible. I first saw one in a Chrysler 200 years back. Im hoping for the best but realistically assuming the same from anything put out by Jeep/Dodge or Chrysler.
agreed, I made a whole thread dedicated to your exact post. The JLs are already overpriced for what they are. Throw more on that and it’s reaching

I really want to run 37's on 4.10 gearing (max tow) with the new 8 speed, I hope its not ridiculous on the highway tho as far as gearing. Obviously the mpg will suffer, and it may feel sluggish off the line. Whats your experience with the jk?
