I did mine as an ode to the original gladiators and because I liked the tailgate on them. Respect your opinion, but I like it for my truck. To each their own I guess.

Did they give you a template for letter placement or did you space them out yourself? Yours are much closer together than the original, but look good in mho.

Yeah mine are closer together partly due to the holes in the tailgate behind the stock letters, but there was no template. Just made sure all the letters were spaced evenly. I appreciate your feedback.

I de badged the tailgate today. I used a few fasteners I had laying around from my 4Runner I parted with for my gladiator. I had to trim two of the wings off the one to get it to fit in the hole left by the Jeep logo. The passenger hole is a oval and the fastener fit perfect but the driver hole was round and needed some persuasion.

Thank you SO much for showing that there are HOLES under the Jeep letters on the tailgate. I was flirting with the idea of removing them! You just saved me a BOATLOAD of heartache!!

I just did mine and went simple with some spray paint and some painters tape. I tried the plasti dip but it didn't turn out well. So I removed them and used the good ole spray paint method.

Not sure what everyone else used for spacing but I put the J and P in first and the E's were 3/8 inch for spacing.

Hey guys. Im going to be adding the solid black vinyl to the tailgate and need some badge advice . I have seen three different part numbers and was wondering the difference.

The pics all seem to show the same charcoal grey with red underlay. Am I missing something
My current is the sport solid black but wanted to change it to be more visible. DIfference?
Wondering if you found anything out or which one you went with. About to have vinyl put on and they told me I'll need replacement letters. Can you not put the OEM ones back on with some 3m or something?

I hate to be a copycat, but as a fellow Van Halen fan and disciple of Eddie, I would love to pay tribute to him on my Gladiator. How exactly did you do this? (If you would be so kind as to tell me the process you used to get this done, I would appreciate it, immensely.)
